  Walters never ran at him once in the whole match, allowing him to bomb forward and combine with Routledge on plenty of occasions. Took his first ever Swansea goal brilliantly, skipping past Huth before finishing with the calmness of a veteran forward.

  Had a poor first half in front of goal, with two miscued volleys followed by a free header from close range which he really should have converted. Improved in the second period but will be disappointed not to grab a goal.

  Excellent first-half display; made runs inside from the flank, dragging makeshift defender Cameron in field and leaving space for Rangel to expose. Fared well in a number of physical battles against Cameron and Adam. Was brought off after an hour.

  Jonathan De Guzmán Top of the Match

  Had a great chance to give Swansea a first half lead but took his eye of the ball as a corner landed for him to volley but showed real quality with a free kick which doubled Swans' lead. Made a superb lung-busting run late on to support Graham and bag his second of the match. Battled well against Stoke's three central midfielders and rarely gave the ball away.
