Player Ratings: Everton 2-1 Fulham
In an end-to-end affair with plenty of chances, Landon Donovan inspired Everton to deservedly come from behind to beat Fulham
By Thomas Anthony Wilson
Impressive showing from the American stopper, who was equal to everything that was thrown at him and made vital saves.
Another solid showing from the young Irish centre-back, who will be looking to cement his place in the side.
Gave away the early penalty but was otherwise faultless.
Got forward at every available opportunity and was a useful outlet on the left wing
Another no-nonsense performance. Did all the simple things well.
Was a thorn in the visitors' side with his physical and aerial presence and deservedly scored.
Showed glimpses of quality and rarely gave the ball away.
Drifted in and out of the game, but was unfortunate not to score from a firm header that struck the bar.
Rightfully substituted on the hour mark after a bright start. Provided pace but fizzled out after the break.
Took his goal well with a clinical header, but the Argentine was otherwise ominous in a rare start for the Toffees
The American inspired Everton to victory and set up both goals from two excellent deliveries into the box.
Provided a spark that was missing when he came on for the final part of the game.
Hustled and bustled the Fulham defence in the closing stages.
Was helpless for both of Everton's goals and produced some decent saves.
Struggled to deal with the constant threat of Baines.
Not one of the Norwegian defender's best performances as he struggled after his side went a goal up.
Found it hard to deal with the aerial presence of Fellaini.
Error-prone performance from the ex-Liverpool man.
Tried to get forward as often as he could but couldn't assist Fulham's attack enough times to make a significant impact.
Posed a threat whenever he had the ball but drifted in and out of the game.
No nonsense performance from the skipper, who was always looking for the killer pass.
Was useful on the wing and put in a no-thrills performance.
Was always a threat and was unfortunate not to get a goal his performance deserved. Provided some good deliveries into the box.
Looked lively whenever he received the ball and ran the line well as he looked to score against his former club.
Didn't have a big impact when he came on and gave away needless fouls.
Didn't worry the Everton defence too much when he emerged from the bench.
