Steve Morison came off the bench to score the winner at Loftus Road and is likely to replace captain Grant Holt in the starting line-up, with Simeon Jackson having performed well enough in recent weeks to retain his place up front. Adam Drury will continue at left-back in the absence of Marc Tierney (groin).
Michael Trippier made his loan deal from Manchester City permanent on Tuesday but will not be eligible to make his first appearance as a full-time Claret, after picking up a red card for two bookable offences during the recent defeat by Leeds.
Michael Duff should step up to fill the shoes of the youngster, who has started every game so far for Eddie Howe's side. Top scorers Jay Rodriguez and Charlie Austin are fit to lead the line for the visitors.
| DID YOU KNOW? |
- Norwich City have not featured in a goalless draw in any of their last 38 league games.
- But Burnley are even less likely to bore their supporters, with at least one goal in each of their previous 45 league encounters.
- The Canaries are still yet to keep a clean sheet in any
competition so far this season - a run stretching back for 21 matches.
- The last time that these two sides met, the Clarets came out on top, triumphing 2-1 at home in a Championship game on February 5, 2011.
- Eddie Howe's Burnley are currently 10th in the English second tier, three points off the playoff positions.
- When Howe (pictured), now 34, was appointed at previous club Bournemouth in January 2009, he was then the youngest manager in the Football League.
- Six out of Norwich's last 10 goals have been headers.
- Steve Morison and Grant Holt are the Canaries' highest scorers so far with seven goals apiece in all competitions.
- Jay Rodriguez, 22, has struck 12 for the Clarets so far in the current campaign, including four hit against League Two Burton Albion in the League Cup in August.

After his late winner at Loftus Road on Monday, the striker's tally advanced to seven goals for the season and he has shown real quality in his rapid rise to the top level since playing non-league in 2009. Morison has combined well with the other Canaries strikers as well as showing that he can hold the ball up strongly as a lone forward, and he should spearhead their progress into the fourth round.

The 22-year-old winger, formerly of West Ham, is full of potential and will be a vital line of attack down the right in the absence of Norwich's first-choice left-back Marc Tierney. It could be the opportune moment for him to register his first goal for the club.
Norwich have been reliable in their inability to keep sides out all season but they will in truth be relishing the prospect of taking on a Championship side at home. The Clarets will know what to expect from the home side, who are mostly made up of players who were in the second tier last year, but the likes of Steve Morison have been promoted up the leagues for a reason and should see the Canaries into the fourth round.
