And that's that! Roma comfortably sail through to the last eight of the Coppa Italia thanks to an easy 3-0 win over Fiorentina, who continue to frustrate! Be sure to stay with Goal.com for more coverage of the rest of tonight's games, plus a whole lot more! I'm Livio Caferoglu and I wish you all a good night. Arrivederci!
Two minutes of added time in Rome. The hosts are keeping the ball calmly now in their own half.. which brings me onto the topic of the quarter-final between themselves and Juventus! A tantalising match is surely in store, as two of Serie A's finest footballing outfits will be at the ready to do battle.
Cerci has been one of Fiorentina's better players this evening, despite playing out just the second half. The forward again finds himself in the box, but his footwork does not inspire his way through a congested 18-yard-area.
Totti gets a reaction from the crowd for his rather outrageous attempt at a volley from aruond 40 yards out from goal! Needless to say Neto was relatively untroubled.
Totti's deep cross manages to find Borini at the far post, but his shot is blocked off by Nastasic. Eight minutes to go at the Olimpico!
Great defending from Gago, who flies into a last-gasp sliding tackle on Cerci, after the ex-Roma forward was seemingly through on goal! A superbly timed intervention.
That's one for Borini now, and three for Roma, but Viola fans will be absolutely livid with their team for their careless performance tonight. Despite being on top for spells during the match, they have failed to build on their promise and helped dish up the win on a plate for Roma.
Goal Fabio Borini
TRE PER ROMA!!! And yet another horrible gaffe by Fiorentina, as Neto's goal kick is dropped to Borini, but the youngster still has it all to do, and he does so with aplomb, after bursting into the box before slipping the ball through the feet of the shot stopper from a tight angle!
Jovetic stands over a free kick around 30 yards from goal... but his attempt is poorly executed! Roma certainly look good value for their lead after an uncertain beginning to the game!
The first scoring chance since Lamela's goal sees Totti spray a corner to the feet of Greco, but the midfielder's strike is speculative and is comfortably met by Neto.
Vargas looks to make an instant impact down the left, as he is thrown on by Delio Rossi, with the aim of inspiring his team to a goal or two!
Goal Erik Lamela
AND THERE IT IS, 2-0!!!! Shortly after Borini's shot is stopped by Neto, a terrible blunder from Salifu gifts the ball to the ex-Swansea hitman, who cuts the ball back for Totti, who in turn allows the Argentine to slam home from less than six yards out!
SHOULD BE 1-1!!! Fiorentina put together a sublime move, started by Jovetic down the left, who passes the ball to Montolivo in space, before Salifu slips substitute Cerci through, but the attacker's shot is too straight and is blocked by Stekelenburg!
A free kick is awarded to Roma in a dangerous position, dead central from goal. Will Totti double his side's lead? We shall wait and see... Moments later his attempt is blocked by a valiant Viola wall!
Lamela is close to making it 2-0 to Roma, after meeting Cicinho's through ball! However, he cannot beat Neto this time, as the Brazilian goalkeeper is on hand to prevent his team going down a further goal.
LA VIOLA ALMOST EQUALISE!! An incredible twist of fate seemed to be on the cards, but Pasqual wanted far too much time, as Jovetic's ball fell into his path, but took too long to volley the ball past Stekelenburg!
Goal Erik Lamela
GOLACCIOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! First blood to the hosts as Totti somehow finds his pass deflect through two yellow shirts, before falling to Lamela, who simply strikes the ball into an open goal!
Yellow Card Adem Ljajic
Montolivo attempts to find Pasqual with an incisive floated pass, but Kjaer is the first to read the situation.
FORZA BOJAN!! A welcome quick burst of pace from the former Barcelona youngster, as he zips past Fiorentina's backline, but his touch goes out for a goal kick. Promising signs perhaps?
Ljalic looks to play in Cassani down the flank, but his pass is a little too strong for the ex-Partizan starlet. However, moments later Jovetic finds himself in the box, but Perrotta cleanly slides into him to win the ball back!
And the second-half is underway here at the Olimpico. Stekelenburg is thrusted straight into action with a kick out, as the introduction of Perrotta should give Roma more energy and enterprise in their midfield, which previously looked slightly one-dimensional.
The teams are ready to come out for the second 45 now, as Simone Perrotta looks set to run out for the Lupi.
Superb pass from Totti finds Cicinho down the right-hand side of the box, but his cross doesn't meet a team-mate... and on that note the referee blows the whistle to signal half-time! Catch us in around 15 minutes, or so.
The Viola keeper's a lucky boy, as his clearance is almost closed down by Totti. However the No.10 looks to be in some discomfort in a particular region, as the ball seems to have grazed him!
... And in a matter of seconds, Lamela has another bite of the cherry! Unfortunately his low crisp attempt ends up in the hands of Neto once again. Strong ending to the half by Roma, which will appease fans of the Lupi!
High-octane stuff here in the Italian capital tonight I'm glad to inform you!! Totti's free kick from the left-hand side loops into Cicinho's feet, before he cuts the ball back for Lamela to swipe at, but his shot is just off target.
More impressive football from the visitors, as it's Camporese who ignites the attack! His pinpoint low pass from deep finds Jovetic, who proceeds to put an equally dangerous ball into the box, but Stekelenburg rushes out to collect!
Hysterics from Taddei on the touchline, as he is on the receiving end of the slightest of touches from Montolivo, but tumbles several times before holding his thigh! In a matter of seconds he's back on his feet.
ROMA HIT BACK... ALMOST! Much better from the hosts, as Lamela plays in Totti with an acute through ball, with Nastasic and Natali left for dead. However, Il Capitano's attempt is blocked by Neto!
Cicinho is fast becoming Roma's most likely outlet, as he gallops down the right flank with urgency, but his ball isn't met by a Giallorossi jersey. And as I speak, Bojan has his first touch of the game - a cross which is gathered by Neto with consumerate ease.
OOOH! Montolivo finds himself en route to the Roma goal with just Kjaer and Heinze standing in his way. However, the Italy man cannot beat the pairing - a reassuring piece of defending for a change!
A poor call from the linesman as Fiorentina try to break through the Roman rearguard again, but Ljalic is adjudged offside, despite looking level. Meanwhile, action is in Luis Enrique's dugout as he looks to ring the changes at half-time.
Totti is outraged as Salifu goes into him strongly to dispossess the ball off him. However, the young midfielder won the ball fairly, before surging forward and seeing his shot blaze just over!
Roma lose the ball very cheaply in the middle of their own half, as Jovetic floats a pass into the path of Ljalic, but despite being a tad strong, Stekelenburg is forced to clear his lines under pressure!
In a space of a few minutes, the dynamic of the match has shifted! And just as I say that, Lamela goes in dangerously on Natali with two feet! No card is shown to the Argentine however.
HOW DID THAT NOT GO IN?! Cassani finds Behrami with a slide-rule pass, as Roma's offside trap collapses. However, the Swiss' cross is met by Montolivo and Jovetic, but neither can seem to get the ball over the line!
Roma are living very dangerously all of a sudden, as Fiorentina are finding spaces with ease. However, it all makes for an even better game for us purists, right?
ANCORA!!! Again the Roma defence disintegrates thanks to more fine play from Jovetic, who plays Ljalic in behind once more. However, the Serb does slightly better by hitting the target, although Stekelenburg does well to smother the ball. Pericoloso!
INCREDIBILE!!! Against the run of play, Jovetic suddenly wakes up into his groove by threading an inch-perfect through ball to Ljalic, who is all on his own with the goal at his mercy, but he fails to hit the target as he loops the ball over on a half-volley! Poor miss.
Some lovely footwork from Cicinho to work his way into the Viola box! However, his cross is aptly cleared by Behrami, amid claims the ball skinned his arm. Shortly after, he wins a free kick for Pasqual to have a crack at, but it ends up with Stekelenburg.
The game is beginning to settle into a rhythm now, and unsurprisingly it is Roma who are holding the majority of possession. As ever, their passing is crisp and inventive, but lacking in adventure.
Greco wins the first free kick of the match, as he is felled in the middle of the park. A quick set piece is taken by Totti, which takes the Fiorentina defence by surprise, but it rolls into the path of Neto.
Both teams are struggling to retain the ball as of yet, as Roma currently have the ball in their own half.
And kick-off is underway! Roma, in their home strip, go from right to left. Fiorentina, in yellow, go vice versa.
Fiorentina's bench reads the following: Boruc, Vargas, De Silvestri, Gamberini, Munari, Lazzari, Cerci.
Last but not least, the substitutes! For Roma: Lobont, Juan, Jose Angel, De Rossi, Simplicio, Caprari, Borini.
And the visitors Fiorentina: Neto; Natali, Camporese, Nastasic; Cassani, Behrami, Montolivo, Salifu, Pasqual; Ljalic; Jovetic.
Here's how Roma will look: Stekelenburg; Cicinho, Kjaer, Heinze, Taddei; Greco, Gago, Viviani; Lamela, Totti, Bojan.
Two strong teams are expected to line out at the Olimpico tonight. We can currently see the likes of Stevan Jovetic, Francesco Totti and Erik Lamela kicking the ball about on the pitch prior to kick-off. Team news is on its way!
