Thank you all very much for joining Goal.com for the LIVE coverage of the semi-final battle. Stick with us for the report and ratings! I'm Roger Gonzalez, and it has been a pleasure as always.
Ladies and gentleman, that is it from La Plata! Oscar Tabarez's men are through to the final where they will face the winner of Paraguay and Venezuela!
90' + 3'
Game over! Uruguay are in the final of the 2011 Copa America!!! The Suarez brace sends them through!
90' + 2'
Possession goes to Uruguay in the last minute of the game. Looks like no more goals to come, just a whistle.
90' + 1'
Three added minutes. Uruguay are all but in the final as they look for their 15th title!
Muslera!!! A dangerous ball sent into the cross to find Guerrero is knocked out by the goalkeeper, who just got a hand to it!
Peru are advancing late! A goal needs to come now! Guerrero is the focus, but the defence is positioned well to deny them!
GUERRERO!!!!! WHAT A RECOVERY FROM MUSLERA! The striker's shot from deep hits the hands of the goalkeeper, who fails to control the curving ball well as it rolls towards the by-line before he dives to grab the ball before it enters! What an end to the game we would seen had the ball entered the net! Peru look done!
Little time left for Peru. Shots are coming from way out as the defence for Uruguay remains unbreakable.
Penalty kick? Oh no! The ball appears to hit Lugano's hand in the box, but it is not rewarded as Guerrero is in disbelief!
My apologies to Will Rimington for not seeing his tweet that read: Peru will only be able to holdout for so long... Suarez with a brace I reckon!!
Yellow Card C. Lobatón
Peru have a chance off a corner kick, sending in another ball after the clearance. The defence of Uruguay is proving too tough to defeat!
Muslera with a nice save! Off a corner from Peru, the goalkeeper is positioned well to keep out a header from the red and white attackers!
Suarez comes off to high praise from the Uruguayans in the stands. Abel Hernandez comes on for the former Ajax star. Also, Gargano comes off for Sebastian Eguren.
Vargas is off!!!! Straight red card! Coates comes from behind to take the ball from the Fiorentina star, but the Peruvian sends an elbow flying backwards that strikes the defender right in the mouth. The ref saw it all.
Red Card Juan Vargas
Yellow Card Diego Lugano
Lugano is given a yellow card for an elbow to the face of Guerrero outside the box. The striker wanted the red, kicking the ground in frustration. Set piece for Peru. Can they get one back?
Vargas!!! He goes for the bicycle kick from inside the box to try and catch Muslera off guard, but the ball flew over the top of the goal as the frustration builds for the Peruvians.
Peru found the net twice in ten minutes against Colombia. Can they do it again to get back into this contest?
Yellow Card A. Balbín
Suarez is now tied for top scorer with three goals, alongside Sergio Aguero of Argentina.
Assist Á. Pereira
Goal Luis Suárez
GOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL FOR URUGUAY!!!! IT IS SUAREZ AGAIN!!!!! The Liverpool star finds the net after A. Pereira sends him through with a well-placed ball over the defence of Peru. The striker, alone charging towards goal, cuts past Fernandez at the top of the box and finishes into the open net with ease!
Goal Luis Suárez
GOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL URUGUAY!!!!!!!!!! Forlan sends a bullet shot from 35 metres out that Fernandez can't control, pushing to the left of the goal where Suarez finishes with a low shot as the goalkeeper could not recover in time. 1-0 to Uruguay!
In the opening few minutes, the ball has stayed in the attacking half for Peru. The ball will certainly find the feet for Vargas for dangerous crosses. Uruguay are looking to Suarez down the flanks.
The second half has begun. Here we go!
45 minutes left for each team to book a spot in the final. Are we heading for extra time? What chances would you make if you were the manager of one of the teams? Let me know on Twitter. Send tweets to @RCGonzalez10
Halftime in La Plata. 0-0 entering the break!
GOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!! NO! NO! OFFSIDE!!! PERU CATCH A BREAK! Off a set piece, Forlan sends a ball to the box that Lugano directs towards the goal with a light header. A. Pereira, as always, is in the right place to put the ball away from close but is called offside. The defender nearly drew level with Sergio Aguero for top scorer!

The defenders of Peru are attentive! Uruguay continue to exploit the flanks, but the boys at the back recover well in front of goal to aid Fernandez. The ball goes out for a corner but two chances from Forlan produce little as a foul in the box sees the ball go to the white and red.
Uruguay are using the space well as Forlan sends A. Pereira down the line from the middle of the field. The defender sends a cross into the box, but the defenders of Peru eliminate the threat with ease.
The ball seems to go from one end to the pitch to the other in the matter of seconds. Peru fail to clear as Uruguay have a chance in the box, but Lugano can't get a touch on the ball to send it home with a volley. Fernandez picks it up and Peru go on the counter, but Advincula's cross finds nobody in the box. 15 minutes to go in the first half. Will one nation strike before the break?
Forlan finds A. Pereira charging down the left side of the box where the defender attempts a shot on goal, but the Peru defence did well to slide and block the shot.
Yellow Card W. Gargano
Peru do well to clear, and Gargano is booked for a foul on Advincula near midfield.
The game is as open as it has been since the ref initiated play. Peru look move creative, but Uruguay have more of the ball. A corner from Uruguay to come.
WHAT A BALL BY VARGAS!!! The powerful midfielder shows his ability to beat a defender on the flank before sending a beautiful, low ball across the middle of the box. Two attackers from Peru failed to get a touch on it with a diving effort. What a chance!
Suarez takes the ball down the side of the box but is marked well by Rodriguez. Peru finally clear the ball. As Uruguay have a problem sending a player through, but Markarian's boys are having their own issues clearing forward.
It feels like it is only a matter of time until Uruguay strike. The last pass to send someone through is missing, but the physical power of Tabarez's men continue to dominant.
A. Pereira!!!!!!!!! After M. Pereira wins a cross with a dangerous ball in the box, the defender nearly finds his third goal of the tournament from right in front of goal! The ball was handled poorly by Fernandez after a header, and the Porto man nearly put it away!
Yellow Card Luis Suárez
Suarez is booked after a tackle on Carmona. One yellow for each squad. The Liverpool man will have to be careful now. Remember, Diego Perez got booked similarly against Argentina and was sent off before halftime.
A. Pereira heads the ball over the bar off a cross from Forlan. Uruguay continue to press and win another corner after Suarez uses his skills to send in a low ball to the back post from the left side of the box. The ball does not seem to exit the defensive half of Peru.
Peru have the only threatening chance in the opening minutes, but it's Uruguay is control now. Corner to come.
Yotun with the long shot!!!!! Off a set piece, the midfielder fires a long shot low towards the goal but Muslera does well to control the ball with a diving save!
The team's have failed to settle down in the opening minutes. Peru have most of the possession. It's obvious that the red and white are going to Vargas each time.
Yellow Card Yoshimar Yotún
Hard foul by Yotun on M. Pereira. The game's first yellow card.
The game has begun! Here we go! A spot in the final is at stake!
The game is minutes away!
