Queens Park Rangers went goals galore tonight as they strolled to a 13-0 victory over Tavistock as they prepare for their return to the Premier League next season.
Neil Warnock’s men dominated from start to finish and found themselves four goals ahead at half time against the South West Peninsula Premier League side, the R’s manager took the opportunity to look at three trialists but it was Hogan Ephraim and Patrick Agyemang who stood out in the first half as they both got themselves on the scoresheet.
Ephraim opened the scoring in the 15th minute before creating the second for Tommy Smith in the 31st minute and two minutes later Ephraim had his second after combining neatly with Agyemang.
With the half coming to a close it was Agyemang’s turn to hit the back of the net, he was put through one-on-one with the Tavistock goalkeeper and calmly slid the ball into the net.
The Premier League new boys started the second half as they finished the first, and they were quickly adding to their tally and after an own goal it was Ephraim who added his third, and the team’s sixth goal.
Seven more goals followed from a rampant Rangers side, including strikes from Danny Shittu, Vaagan Moen and Matthew Connolly to secure the victory for Rangers, whose manager Warnock will be delighted with their performance and their potency in front of goal.
