Chivas de Guadalajara stunned Barcelona to pick up their first win of the World Football Challenge pre-season tournament on Wednesday.
The Mexican side did the damage in the second half, with a Marco Fabian brace setting the stage for a comeback victory in front of record 70,000 at the Sun Life Stadium in South Florida.
Barcelona got off to a flying start after a raking Gerard Pique ball from the back sprung the Chivas offside trap in the fourth minute and David Villa scooped the ball out from under his feet just in time to slot past Luis Ernesto Michel.
Later in the half, Jona Dos Santos tried a similar ball. Villa collected on his chest and chipped the keeper with a delicate lob, but his shot clipped the crossbar before heading over.
Fabian made his mark after an hour of play and within three minutes he had put his side ahead. The equaliser was a powerful 30-yard drive into the upper corner, while an athletic first-time volley from a Omar Arellano's cross put Pep Guardiola's side on the back foot.
Giovani Casillas extended Chivas's lead in the 71st minute after being granted too much room in the box, while Jose Luis Verduzco completed the scoring.
