Manchester City came from behind to beat the Vancouver Whitecaps 2-1 in the latest match of their pre-season tour of America.
Roberto Mancini's men needed a late goal through Shaun Wright-Phillips to secure the win, while Yaya Toure picked up an injury during the game.
Despite the Whitecaps having to cancel a match over the weekend due to their waterlogged pitch, the surface was deemed playable three hours before kick-off.
Both sides had chances to take the lead early on, but it was the MLS outfit who scored the opener, with Camilo Sanvezzo's strike taking a deflection off Stefan Savic before beating Joe Hart.
City, who beat Club America over the weekend, played the majority of the game without midfielder Yaya Toure, after the Ivorian landed awkwardly on the newly placed grass surface when going up for a header in the 35th minute.
The team's training staff brought a stretcher out to take Toure off the pitch, but the 28-year-old walked off with the assistance of the coaches instead before being replaced by James Milner.
The Whitecaps, who have only won two games all season in MLS, looked like they would be on their way to a shocking victory, or at least a draw against Mancini's side.
But City would strike back after Vancouver made 10 substitutions at half-time, as John Guidetti equalised with a header at the far post following a corner from Andrea Mancini, the manager's son.
The 2011 FA Cup winners put the game away with only a few minutes left when Wright-Phillips scored with a stunning strike from 22 yards out after a pass from Guidetti.
