Thanks for joining Goal.com's LIVE text commentary. I'm Roger Gonzalez, and it's been a pleasure. What a surprise win for Sociedad. Please stick with us for player ratings and the match report. Have a good one.

90' + 3'
That's it! Valencia fall 1-0 to Real Sociedad at home! Three points of gold for the visitors. A second-half strike seals it by Griezmann.
90' + 2'
A sub coming on for Sociedad. This one looks all but over.
Added time is in, and it will be three minutes. Just as that is said, Hernandez steals the ball and jets into the box, but he takes too long to decide what to do, losing the ball near the goal. Sums up the night for Valencia.
Couple minutes remaining. Sociedad are on the verge of bagging a huge victory, giving them a bit of room above the relegation zone.
Banega fires from long range, hoping to sneak one past Bravo, but the effort finds the fans instead of the back of the net, curving wide.
Jonas! The Brazilian fires a shot from the top of the box, and though it had power, it was just poor as it found Bravo in the middle of the goal.
Time is ticking away. Valencia build up well but run into a brick wall each time they move forward.
The Chilean goalkeeper has been in fine form, though he hasn't been called on to make many saves. His timing has been nearly perfect, again cutting off a ball that was headed for Jordi Alba at the back post.
Mikel Aranburu Eizagirre
Bruno has gone forward to help out now. Valencia are thin in defence. Do or die here.
Real Sociedad are wasting time with possession, passing all around. The hosts are in desperation mode.
Jonas has some time down the left, playing with Banega, but the Sociedad defence has been impossible to break. Whether it's a cross, low through ball, nothing is working. Around 15 minutes left here in the 19th fixture of the league season.
Griezmann!!!!! What a long-range shot! It flew just wide of the goal, but he had Alves beaten! Valencia dodge a bullet there!
Just over 20 minutes left. Feghouli is taken off in favour of Paco Alcacer. If that doesn't tell you Valencia's attacking intent, I don't know what will. Striker for a winger, though only 18 years old.
Feghouli is injured inside the box. He fell awkwardly after skying for a ball. As medics look to help him up, Carlos Vela comes on.
There it is. Jonas comes on for Dani Parejo. The Gremio man looks to turn the fixture around.
An attacking change has to be coming soon to Valencia, while Sociedad may opt to sure up their defence. A few options for Los Che, with Tino Costa, Jonas and Paco Alcacer.
Thirty minutes left in the contest and Sociedad are making Valencia look like children, pulling off tricks around players. The fans are making their feelings heard.
The evening is getting a bit frustrating for Valencia fans. The team can't seem to do anything with the ball.
Goal Antoine Griezmann
Goal Sociedad! 1-0! Greizmann opens the scoring with an effort from just inside the box. His initial effort his off Rami, but the winger gets the ball back, quickly shoots again, and the ball hits off the French defender, flying over the head of Alves and into the goal. The Brazilian was too far off his line. Wow!
Yellow Card Jordi Alba
Corner to Valencia after a ball from Banega finds Feghouli near the end-line, but the winger's effort is deflected out. On the corner, the cross from Parejo finds Aduriz, who heads the ball over the goal.
Looks as if Jordi Alba will soon come on for Valencia. The quick starlet will add another dimension to the attack, but will that be enough?
Feghouli! The young winger drills a shot from outside the box, but the ball flies just wide of the far post! Nearly in!
What a move by Pablo Hernandez in the box, spinning around on the left to evade defenders before firing a shot that is deflected out for a corner.
The second half has begun!
Well, it's just as we started. Both squads have shown skill in attack and in defence, but it's been all even up to this point. Will Valencia make any changes to secure three points? Let me know on Twitter. We will be back with the second half shortly.
That's the end of the half. 0-0 at Mestalla.
Bit of back and forth play as the first half nears its end. With Sociedad on the counter, Bruno steps in to steal the ball and send Valencia forward. But, consistent with the story of the night, the home side do nothing with the possession, losing it seconds later.
Few minutes to go now, and it's Valencia who are having troubles in attack. Great shape by Sociedad, making things tough on the home side. Every pass is being cut off, players are doubling up to add pressure.
Emery looks a bit uncomfortable on the side, yelling at his players, installing a few modifications. With how the team is playing, a 0-0 result doesn't seem fair.
Prieto is played into the box with a little touch and charges on goal but is offside. Another fine call. He was clearly off.
Prieto tries his luck from outside the box, but his shot nearly finds the upper level of seats.
It's been a fairly quiet night for Alves, despite Sociedad's recent possession. After having plenty to do midweek against Sevilla, he is probably enjoying a light day at the office, for now.
Sociedad are attacking with numbers. The counter is there, but Unai Emery's side can't take advantage of it, getting caught up at the half each time.
Momentum to the visitors, who are controlling the possession well. Valencia can't seem to clear the ball as Prieto is producing trouble down the right. Finally, Topal enters and clears.
Reaching the 30 minute mark and nothing to show for it. No question that Valencia have been the better side, controlling possession and dominating in chances.
What a game Ever Banega is having. The former Boca Juniors man is as lively as ever, looking for the clever touch often. He is the man to get Valencia ahead with a clever pass. On the other end, Parejo looks as if he were in another world. Many Valencia fans probably wouldn't mind that.
Goal Valencia! 1-0! Oh no! Offside by Bruno! Pablo played the defender into the box before the ball ended up at the feet of Aduriz alone at the back post, but he was clearly off. Good call by the linesman.
Real Sociedad with a little bit more possession, playing the ball around at the back and switching fields. They still haven't managed a chance on goal, however.
Nearly 20 minutes in and it's all Valencia at this point. Though the score show it's level. The home side have showed potential without Jonas and Soldado, but can they find one before the break?
Off the crossbar! Off the corner, Banega finds Aduriz perfectly, and the tall attacker flicks his headed to the far side, but it is denied entry! What a chance there! Bravo would have had no chance of stopping it had it been a bit lower.
What a save! Aduriz settles the ball well at the top of the box, volleying an effort towards the right post that Bravo punches out well. Valencia regain possession, and Pablo nearly finds the net with a ball inside the box, but his effort is redirected wide. Corner to Valencia.
Little possession to Sociedad after Parejo losses the ball in attack. The Valencia defence track back well. Alves cleans up a cross and sends his team on the counter.
The pressure from Los Che continue as various crosses come in from all angles but Bravo is having no issues, snatching each one.
Valencia continue to put pressure on the Sociedad defence. Down the right, Feghouli fights off a defender before crossing to the near post for Aduriz, but the Spaniard's effort is blocked on for a corner. On the kick, the former Mallorca man gets another look, heading towards the middle of the goal by Bravo is there to stop the threat.
Valencia nearly find a goal thanks to Feghouli who crashed into the box to get a touch on a cross, but the Sociedad defence clears.
Another interesting note as we await for something to happen: The last time Real Sociedad won at Valencia was in the 1996-97 season.
Little to see in the opening minutes as both squads look to settle the ball down and get into a rhythm.
Interesting note: While it may be difficult to win without Soldado, Valencia have only lost one game at home all season. Who was it against? Send your answer to me on Twitter at @RCGonzalez10
The match has begun!
Lots of changes for Valencia, but it's not surprising considering they have a Copa del Rey clash midweek against Levante. Roberto Soldado is not playing today because of yellow card accumulation. So, it's Aritz Aduriz's time to shine. Will he? The start of the game is just moments away.
For Valencia: Diego Alves, Bruno, Rami, Dealbert, Mathieu; Topal, Banega, Feghouli, Parejo, Pablo Hernandez and Aduriz.
The starting XI for the visitors: Bravo; Estrada, Demidov, Mikel Gonzalez, Cadamuro; Zurutuza, Elustondo, Aranburu, Xabi Prieto, Griezmann and Agirretxe.
The starting XI for each team will be in shortly. Who do you think will win? Let me know on Twitter by tweeting to @RCGonzalez10
Valencia enter the contest in third place in the league with 34 points. Real Sociedad have 18 points and are in 16th place, two above relegation.
