FULL-TIME! 4-0 to WIgan. All the work was done in the first-half. A very good performance by the home team and apart from a ten minute spell in the second period, Newcastle were out-played. Moses with two goals. One each for the very impressive Maloney and equally good Di Santo.

90′ +2
Wigan ending the game in typical fashion. Maloney, McCarthy and McArthur are almost making it embarassing for the away side. Maloney has been excellent today.

90′
Three minutes to be added on at the DW Stadium. Newcastle just want this to end now. They've been second best all game.

88′
Almost 5! Great play between Maloney and Gomez. The Spaniard then plays in Sammon who goes past Krul but his shot is cleared off the line by Coloccini

86′
Wigan knocking the ball around for fun now. Both Gomez and McCarthy had chances to shoot from 25-yards but chose instead to turn back and keep possession.

83′
Substitution Yohan Cabaye Shane Ferguson

83′
Substitution Victor Moses Jordi Gómez

83′
The home team very comfortabl now. Alcaraz even confident enough to stride out of defence with the ball but his pass is poor. Moses is off for a well-earned rest. Gomez on.

81′
Substitution Danny Simpson James Perch

80′
Wigan looking dangerous on the counter-attack. Newcastle seem unlikley to come back now and every misplaced pass is pounced on by the men in blue.

77′
The away side are getting more of the ball now but are running out of ideas. Santon breaks forward on the left but is tackled too easily and the ball goes out for a throw.

74′
Wigan seem to have ridden out that Newcastle storm. The home team are keeping the ball well again but they need to keep their concentration.

73′
Substitution Hatem Ben Arfa Ryan Taylor

71′
Cisse hits the post! Good cross by Ben Arfa and the striker is so unlucky. Newcastle throwing everything at WIgan now.

71′
Alcaraz escapes a possible sending off there. A blatent hand-ball stops Cisse clean through on goal, but no second yellow card.

68′
Substitution Franco Di Santo Conor Sammon

68′
Another good chance, this time for Ben Arfa. Somehow he creates a yard of space. The winger wriggles free of McArthur in the box with about three Cruyff turns but shoots just wide with his right foot

67′
Newcastle starting to get more men forward now. Cisse is finding space in the box, but this time his cross is headed away.

64′
Cisse finds space down the right again. He does well to stay onside and tries to curl it into the far corner. It cannons off the bar though, and Wigan escape danger.

63′
Wigan are still pressing Newcastle all over the pitch, but the away side find a way to Cisse who finds some space in the box. Great save from Al-Habsi denies him.

60′
Amazing goal-mouth scramble. Moses nearly gets his hat-trick but for a good save from Krul. The home team keep it alive though and after three blocked shots the ball goes out for a throw-in to Wigan.

57′
The home team look in complete control now. Attacking when they want, playing the ball around the back four when they want. Newcastle can't get a kick.

54′
Moses breaks with the ball from inside his own half. He gives it to Di Santo who couldn't play it on to Maloney who was free on the left.

51′
Wigan passing the ball around nicely again now. McCarthy and McArthur with Maloney and Moses dropping deep, mean Newcastle are struggling to get hold of the ball.

48′
Looks like Newcastle have gone back to their natural 4-3-3 formation as they look to chase down a 4-0 lead.

45′
Newcastle kick-off the second half still stunned from the first period. Alan Pardews men have a tough task ahead of them now.

45′ +5
HALF-TIME! Wigan 4-0 up after an incredible first-half. Two from Moses. One each for Maloney and Di Santo. Every one of them a good goal. The away side don't know what has hit them.

45′ +3
GOAL! 4-0! I don't believe it. What a strike from Di Santo. Maloney knocks it inside to the striker who, from 30 yards out, places the ball right into the top corner. Krul had no chance. What a goal. Wigan four up. Yes, four!

45′ +2

45′ +1
Tiote shoots from 30 yards and its goes harmlessly over. Sums up the away side's frustration. There is four added minutes.

44′
Wigan sitting back now allowing Newcastle to have the ball. The home team are just waiting for the half-time whistle, but they will want to make sure they don't concede a goal.

41′
Almost a goal for Newcastle. Gutierrez robs the ball from Boyce and it breaks to Ben Arfa. The winger chips it to Ba at the back post and after a great first touch, the striker shoots wide.

38′
Yellow Card Danny Simpson

38′
Yellow Card James McCarthy

38′
A bit of a lunge by McCarthy on Cabaye. Looked like it was two-footed as well. Just a booking from referee Mike Dean.

36′
Assist Franco Di Santo

36′
Goal Shaun Maloney
GOAL! Unbelievable. 3-0! Maloney scores from yet another great Wigan move. Di Santo puts the winger through on the right. Maloney then cuts in and curls it round Krul. Great finish. Wigan are coasting.

34′
Both teams struggling to break down the other now that they are set-up the same. Its becoming a bit of a midfield battle. Wigan won't mind that.

31′
The away side are struggling to hurt Wigan. Tiote and Cabaye are unable to control the game as they like to and the front three have been almost non-existent.

28′
Wigan knocking the ball around nicely. They are moving it side to side, with McCarthy and McArthur pulling the strings. Newcastle have changed their system and have now matched up with the home side - playing with five across the back.

26′
Figueroa goes down after what seems like a nasty challenge from Tiote. Looks a painful one but not spotted by the referee.

23′
Newcastle getting a bit more of the ball now. They nick it from Wigan just outside the penalty area but Cisse's shot is tame and Al-Habsi catches with ease.

20′
Great effort from Ben Arfa direct from the free-kick. Nearly 30-yards out but misses by a fraction.

19′
Yellow Card Antolín Alcaraz

19′
Good break from Newcastle. Nice work from Ben Arfa and Tiote releases Santon on the right. The full-back runs the length of the pitch before being fouled by Alcaraz five yards outside the box.

17′
Wigan looking very dangerous on the break. Their wing-backs are pouring forward at every opportunity. The away side need to get hold of the ball and regain some composure.

15′
Goal Victor Moses
GOAL! 2-0 to Wigan! Moses again! Incredible from the home team. This time down the left Beasejour puts in a brilliant cross. The ball falls to Moses who places the ball calmly beyond Krul. What a start for Wigan.

13′
Assist Emmerson Boyce

13′
Goal Victor Moses
GOAL! Great goal by Wigan! A good move through midfield, sees Maloney get the ball and switch it to the right. Boyce cuts inside and crosses into the six-yard box. Somehow Victor Moses finds himself between the two centre-backs and nods it home.

11′
Play resumes after a break for a Ba injury. Wigan looking for Di Santo at the earliest opportunity and then looking to play off him.

8′
First chance for Newcastle. Free-kick just outside the box on the left hand side. Cabaye puts a dangerous ball in but it cannons off Cisse's head before he can react properly and goes out for a goal-kick.

6′
Another nice more from the home team. Maloney flicks it wide to Beausejour, whose cross falls to the feet of Moses. From 15-yards out though, the forward can't get the required power on his shot.

6′
The ball breaks to Di Santo in midfield and the striker breaks forward. He shots from just outside the box but his shot is deflected, and easily collected by Krul.

3′
Good move from Wigan with Maloney coming off the left touchline to get involved and link up with McCarthy. He plays it right to Boyce, but the wing-back sees he crossed blocked.

2′
Early free-kick for Wigan on the right. Great hold-up play from Di Santo and he is fouled by Cabaye. Maloney whips it in and there is a bit of a scramble but Caldwell is offside.

1′
The home side kick us off at the DW Stadium

Should be a good game today. Both teams like to keep possession and Newcastle, in particular, will be devastating on the break.

The Magpies are in superb form as they chase down a Top 4 finish. Six wins in a row, including five clean sheets has seen them leapfrog Tottenham into fourth. They are now only three points behind Arsenal with a game in hand!

Despite losing their last match, Wigan have won four of the last six, including wins against Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal. So this will be far from easy for Newcastle.

For Newcastle, there are no changes from the line-up which beat Stoke 3-0 last time out.

Shaun Maloney starts for Wigan in place of Jordi Gomez, in the only change from the team tha lost at Fulham last week.

Newcastle: Krul; Simpson, Williamson, Coloccini, Santon; Cabaye, Tiote, Gutierrez; Ben Arfa, Ba, Cisse. Subs: Elliot, Perch, Ferguson, R.Taylor, Gosling, Shola Ameobi, Best.

Wigan: Al Habsi; Boyce, Caldwell, Alcaraz, Figueroa; Moses, McCarthy, McArthur, Beausejour; Maloney, Di Santo. Subs: Pollitt, Crusat, Gomez, Sammon, Jones, Rodallega, Diame.
