Player Ratings: West Brom 1-2 Swansea City

Untested during the first-half with the opposition players either proving wasteful or seeing their shots blocked. Had less luck in the second-half with two precise finishes which he could do little about, but he saved well from Dyer.

Almost gave his side the lead but the outstretched hand of Williams denied him. At the other end he was shrugged off the ball by Graham, but fortunately the striker fired over. However, he was less lucky when the former Watford man got to Sigurdsson’s cross before him to give his side the lead.

A less eventful game than his partner and the West Brom defence look better with the two of them back together again. His flick-on set up Fortune for the opener.

Some good deliveries into the area, but he went missing as Swansea took the lead in a mad few minutes in the second-half.

Back in the side after a month out, he slotted in seamlessly at right-back and gave some width going forward as well, something that has been missing.

Although technically playing as a winger, the captain spent most of his time helping out in the middle of the park to try and stifle the Swansea passing, but ultimately failed. Was booked for fouling Britton, but it was the least he deserved after an even worse challenge on the same player earlier on.

Another game where he has failed to stamp his authority on the match, with West Brom crying out for some creativity in the middle of the park. Hauled off in the second-half as the Baggies chased for an equaliser.

A couple of misplaced passes inside his own half led to shots from opposition players in what was an unusually sloppy display. Taken off early in the second-half for Scharner.

Back from injury, but he failed to deliver the same quality of performance Baggies fans have been accustomed to over the past couple of months. Taken off in the second-half.

Was gifted an opportunity by a poor clearance from Vorm but could not capitalise after a poor first touch. However, he made it consecutive home games where he has scored after finding the net in the second-half.

Had one moment of madness when he hit a clearance straight to the lurking Antoine-Fortune, but fortunately for him the striker couldn't control the ball. Was also fortunate that a save from a Fortune cross crept wide.

Did well enough in defence. Looked solid for much of the match and was rarely particularly troubled by Thomas.

Fortunate not to give away a penalty with a clear hand-ball in the first-half and a mistake at the end nearly saw West Brom equalise. Overall, a poor performance.

Impressive at the back as he dealt with the many strikers thrown on by Roy Hodgson to try and find a goal.

After that late own-goal against Chelsea, it was an impressive response from the left-back, getting forward wherever possible and setting up Sigurdsson for the important equaliser.

Looked confident in midfield where he controlled the tempo of the play, although he attracted a number of poor challenges from Morrison which he will be glad did not result in an injury.

With West Brom unable to find much spark in the midfield it was a relatively easy game for Allen, who alongside Britton was able to dictate the tempo of the match.

A quieter performance than his team-mates, but he popped up in dangerous positions twice. The first saw him poke wide and the second was smothered by Foster.

Along with Graham and Sigurdsson he was Swansea’s most potent threat, producing some mazy runs and good delivery into the area. Unusually he did not claim a goal or assist out of the two goals scored.

Shrugged off McAuley but fired over in the first-half. He was rewarded after the break with a goal and he also delivered an excellent cross which Dyer put just wide. It’s rare to see McAuley struggle as much as he did against the striker.
