Kevin Doyle and Matt Jarvis inspire Wolves to victory following superb second-half showing at Loftus Road after the hosts had taken the lead courtesy of Bobby Zamora's debut goal
By Jay Jaffa at Loftus Road
Was largely untroubled in the first half. It would have taken a fine save to deny Jarvis' goal and can be credited with a good stop from Doyle's long-range drive.
Not particularly comfortable in possession but does provide good support to Wright-Phillips. Was withdrawn in the second half after picking up a hamstring injury.
Looked steady on his home debut. Didn't get forward as much as was expected but it was a cautious and solid performance.
Cleared one off the line and almost scored with a side-foot in the dying minutes. Will be disappointed with the nature of the goals conceded.
A steady presence at the heart of defence for QPR and later moved to right-back after Young's injury. Did what he could to support the attack but will be judged more on the defending.
Did okay in his role alongside Barton. Distribution was decent but was hampered by the overload of numbers in the middle following Cisse's sending off. Replaced by Traore.
Seemed to relish his return to a rejuvenated QPR side and almost opened the scoring following a neat one-two with Zamora on the edge of the box. Grew with the game and almost scored a howitzer of a strike from 30 yards. Produced a number of tempting crosses and generally did all he could to spark a QPR comeback.
Did his best alongside Derry to dictate proceedings and did so for most of the opening 45 minutes. Struggled to have as much of an impact following Cisse's dismissal as Wolves poured bodies forward. His early challenge led to Frimpong going off injured. Was unlucky to see his late shot fizz wide.
Provided a lovely assist for Zamora as he ghosted into the box to collect Cisse's pass. Became more prominent in the final stages of the game.
Began with intent, carving a chance for himself after just a minute. But he turned creator after 16 minutes, clipping a lovely ball into the box for Wright-Phillips to assist Zamora. Marred his home debut by getting sent off after reacting badly to a Roger Johnson tackle.
Heavily involved from the outset, spreading play and holding the ball well with his back to goal. His one-two with Taarabt showed invention, whilst his solo turn and shot showed early confidence. Arrived right on cue to slam Wright-Phillips' flick past Hennessey for a debut goal. Worked hard alone before being replaced with 20 minutes to go.
Came on for the injured Luke Young.
Replaced Shaun Derry and slotted into centre midfield with Barton but looked unfamiliar and uncomfortable in this role
Came on for Zamora following Wolves' second goal but could not do anything of note, missing a nicely squared cross by Taarabt.
Made a couple of routine early saves and although he got a hand on the Zamora goal, he could not be blamed, such was the power. Made arguably one of the saves of the season from Taarabt in the second half.
Did what he could to provide support going forward but was withdrawn at half-time in a positive substitution by McCarthy.
Provided decent width throughout the game and worked hard for the away team. An inauspicious game overall.
Led his team well from the back and although he was booked for a wild lunge on Cisse, should be credited for not reacting to the striker's raised hands. He is an influential presence at the back and led the comeback well with Bassong.
Played more central and worked tirelessly for the cause. Got stuck in, as you'd expect and played the game as McCarthy would want it.
Looked calm and composed on debut and always looked for the short option when in possession. Should be a good addition for the remainder of the season for Wolves.
Did his best to get forward and assist the lone frontman Fletcher but wasn't involved enough to be a key figure.
Involved in a hefty challenge with Barton and limped off after 24 minutes for Ebanks-Blake
Did okay in the first half but was much more effective in the second period, surging from the left and netting the equaliser for the away side. His control at the back post and quick shift onto his right foot was enough to elude Young and his finish good enough to fire past Kenny.
Came back into the side but looked rusty and misplaced a number of passes when charged with being the creative fulcrum of Wolves' midfield. Grew into the game as space emerged following Cisse's sending off. Played the initial pass that led to Doyle's winning goal. Replaced late on by Milijas.
Had Wolves' first effort after cutting in from the right and striking low with his left just past Kenny's post. Repeated the feat from a 25-yard free-kick but again, put it just wide. Surprisingly didn't get on the scoresheet despite a number of chances. Had one cleared off the line and a header cannon back off the bar. A constant nuisance.
Came on late for O'Hara.
Was given an early introduction following the injury to Frimpong. Got the last touch on the ball for Doyle's match-winning goal and his presence was useful for the visitors.
Half-time introduction was a stroke of genius from McCarthy. He completely changed the course of the game and assisted in pushing Wolves onto the win. His winning goal was typically well taken. Unlucky not to have another goal but Kenny pulled off a good diving save.
