Paddy Kenny is available for QPR and could come in for Radek Cerny, who produced some top drawer saves against Manchester United but allowed a timid Michael Carrick shot to go in at his near post.
Anton Ferdinand misses the match against his former club due to a hamstring injury and could be replaced by Fitz Hall, while defensive partner Danny Gabbidon is a doubt with a gashed leg. Striker Jay Bothroyd is also a concern for the hosts with a knee injury.
Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill is without Fraizer Campbell, Michael Turner, Craig Gordon and Simon Mignolet due to injuries, but otherwise has no concerns.

The Moroccan will operate in a free-role, looking to exploit space in the wide areas and in behind the QPR frontline.
The Swedish international has been an asset to Sunderland on more than one occasion this season. His exquisite free kicks regularly test goalkeepers, while the 26-year-old is a threat from open play play too.
He will also look to supply the likes of Nicklas Bendtner and Stephane Sessegnon with ammunition from the wings throughout the match.
This game has ‘draw’ written all over it. A league table based purely on this season’s home form would place QPR 17th while a table based on away form would rank Sunderland in the same position.
The stats speak for themselves, and if either team are able to manage a victory here it will take something special from one of their key players.
