Blackburn Rovers’ Steven Nzonzi misses the game after admitting an FA charge of violent conduct following an incident with Stoke City’s Ryan Shawcross. His place is likely to be taken by Radosav Petrovic.
Steve Kean’s men should be able to call upon the services of captain Christopher Samba and Martin Olsson. Kean is likely to recall four of the players that missed Tuesday’s disappointing defeat to Cardiff City, with Paul Robinson, Mauro Formica, Junior Hoilett and Yakuku expected to return.
Swansea City will be without record signing and top scorer Danny Graham after he injured his Achilles during Sunday’s sombre draw against Aston Villa. His place is likely to be taken by Leroy Lita who came on to replace him on Sunday.
Angel Rangel will also be out for up to a month after damaging ankle ligaments in the game against Villa, he will be replaced by Wales Under-21 captain Jazz Richards.

In a struggling team this season, the Canadian has stood out and has been a constant threat to opposition defences.
Having contributed three goals and three assists, Hoilett’s performances have quite rightly earned him plaudits and a move in January is already being sounded out.

The former Chelsea winger has been an integral player for Swansea this season, popping up with three goals and two assists.
He will be expected to step up now that Danny Graham is out injured and he may be needed to score the majority of the team’s goals and he could be confident of getting on the scoresheet this weekend against a shaky Blackburn defence.
Swansea haven’t won a game all season away from home but they will come into the match full of confidence having drawn their last two away from the Liberty Stadium.
Blackburn haven’t won a game at home since their victory against Arsenal and the pressure on Steve Kean is continuing to mount after the club’s exit to Cardiff in the League Cup on Tuesday.
Rovers’ confidence looks shot right now and Swansea could take advantage by getting their first away win this year.
