For the home side, Kemy Agustien is out with a hamstring injury, while Ferry Bodde and Steven Caulker (both knee) are sidelined as well. Stephen Dobbie (ankle) and Alan Tate (broken leg) are also recovering from their respective injuries and remain out of action.

Owen Coyle may miss the services of Marcos Alonso, who is believed to still be recovering from a foot injury. Dedryck Boyata is a doubt after sustaining an ankle injury against Sunderland, while Sean Davis is yet to make a return after a protracted knee injury.

Stuart Holden fell prey to a serious knee injury against Manchester United at Old Trafford, and is not expected to return until next March. Chung-Yong Lee and Tyrone Mears are also sidelined, as both players recover from a broken leg.

Meanwhile, Sam Ricketts suffered an Achilles problem that needed surgery. He has made progress in his recovery, but is expected to be unavailable for this fixture.

The forward has scored three goals in his last three appearances in the Premier League, and will likely be looking forward to facing the team with the worst defensive record.

The veteran goalkeeper has been let down by his defence on many an occasion this season, and will need to put in a good performance to give his side hope of grabbing some points.
Prediction
Both teams are meeting each other for the first time in the top flight, and Bolton's recent run coupled with the Swansea's record in their own backyard points towards a home win. But the Trotters are due a bit of luck, and their efforts on the training ground might pay off against the new boys, with a draw seeming the most likely result.
