Arsenal needlessly give the ball away in attack and Spurs break down the other end of the pitch forcing Koscielny to foul Bale and get a booking.
OOOOOOOOOOH!!! Bale lifts a wonderful cross into the Arsenal box. Fabianski comes out and gets nowhere near it. It drops to Van der Vaart, but he can't get it out of his feet with the goal gaping and Song clears.

Ten minutes left, and this game is anyones. Spurs look good and have the ascendancy while Arsenal are looking to regain that winning momentum.

Tottenham win a corner, which Van der Vaart takes but Van Persie clears at the near post.
Couple of halfhearted appeals for fouls from Arsenal players but neither is conclusive and the referee indicates play on.

Fabregas fires a shot in from the edge of the box, but it flies harmlessly over Gomes' crossbar.

Gallas fouls Chamakh about 30 yards away from goal, just left of centre.
Arsenal starting to win a bit more possession. Fabregas picking the ball up in midfield and almost slips Arshavin in, but Kaboul intercepts.
Arsenal threaten again, with Arshavin and Fabregas almost combining well to put the Russian in. But Gallas watched it well and clears.
Modric fires a super effort on goal from 25 yards out on the run, which JUST arrows over Fabianski's crossbar. Unlucky.
Fabregas loses possession in the Spurs half, and Van der Vaart almost puts Defoe through on goal, but Clichy is back well to cover.
Arsenal the ones who look a little rattled now. They've not started this second half very well.

Decent passing move from Arsenal eventually puts Fabregas one-on-one with Gallas, but the defender does well to stand up and clear.
First glimpse of Defoe chasing onto a throughball which Koscielny knocks behind for a corner which Arsenal clear.
Decent possession from both teams at the start of the half, before Fabregas gifts the ball to Jenas and promptly brings him down.

Half time! Goals from Nasri and Chamakh have Arsenal two nil up here! They're playing very well but Tottenham have hinted they will be more of a threat in the second half. Back in fifteen minutes!
Chamakh wastes a great opportunity as Fabregas picks him out one on one with Kaboul. He is through, but opts to take a touch rather than shoot and the defender gets back and clears.
Arsenal win a freekick in the Spurs half. The ball is cleared well initially, but only to Chamakh whose shot is blocked but only to Arshavin. He brings the ball down but rather than crossing opts to take on his man and loses possession.
Tottenham continue to press, pinging crosses into the box, but eventually Kaboul heads the ball behind.
Spurs just rallying at the end of the first half. Winning a corner, which Arsenal fail to clear. Pavlyuchenko retrieves possession, swaps passes with Lennon but his shot is deflected behind for another corner.
This time it's Arsenal's turn to win a freekick in the Tottenham half, but Fabregas delivery is too high and Gomes claims.
Spurs win a freekick in the Arsenal half, but Van der Vaart's delivery is poor and Squillaci clears.
Tottenham are struggling to break down Arsenal's defence, though Gareth Bale cuts inside looking to create but his throughball is blocked.
Pavlyuchenko is pulled up for a foul against Koscielny, just as the ball drops to Van der Vaart on the edge of the box. He fires over anyway.
Arsenal's midfield, in particular Song and Denilson, deserve great credit thus far. Pressing possession with great effect thus far, rattling Van der Vaart and Modric.
Spurs, and Modric in particular, are looking ragged. Very rare to see the Croatian waste two simple passes in the space of a minute.
Spurs are giving Fabregas plenty of space in midfield, and he almost makes them pay with a neat pass to Arshavin, but Gallas is in to clear.
Modric hits a thunderous 30 yard strike which is palmed out by Fabianski!

A wonderful counter-attacking move from Arsenal and Chamakh has them two nil up!!! Spurs are on the attack, but Lennon's cross is too high. Denilson and Nasri feed the ball quickly to Fabregas. He then travels deep into the Tottenham half, feeding Arshavin whose low cross is hit home six yards out by Chamakh!!

Spurs pen Arsenal deep in their half, as Arsenal struggle to clear the initial corner. Koscielny's header comes out to Lennon who pings a high cross to Kaboul at the back post whose header goes wide.
Pavlyuchenko wins a freekick deep in the Arsenal half. Van der Vaart whips it into the box, but Arsenal clear. Only to Kaboul though, who then fires a great cross into the box which Sagna puts behind for a corner.
OOOOOOH!!! Close from Fabregas. Wonderful move from Arsenal, pinging passes around the Tottenham half, before Nasri finds Fabregas in space on the edge of the box. His touch puts him in on goal but he drags his shot wide.
Decent move from Spurs, Jenas feeding Modric who then tries to feed Hutton in behind the defence but just overcooking the pass.
Marauding run forward from Gallas, beating two Arsenal players before Song gets back to close his former captain down.
Van der Vaart is getting a stern talking-to from Phil Dowd as he leaps into an aerial challenge with Denilson a little too aggressively.
Fabregas tries an extravagant lobbed throughball for Song, but Gomes is out quickly to claim.
Tottenham look a little rattled, misplacing simple passes in midfield and miscuing clearances. Van der Vaart being forced too deep to cause any threat.

Sagna picks up a booking for a nasty late challenge on Gareth Bale. Puts him under pressure for the rest of this match.
Arsenal are passing this ball around at will at the moment, this game is still being plated at a frenetic pace.

Goal for Arsenal and Nasri has scored!!! Fabregas picked him out behind the defence, his touch was heavy though. But Gomes, coming out to claim the ball is weak with his challenge, and Nasri skips past him and then from an incredibly acute angle knocks it into the net. 1-0 Arsenal!

Gomes is momentarily vulnerable as he comes out to claim a high cross from Sagna. But spills it, but Spurs clear.
Then Arsenal work a quick move down the right. Nasri flicks a lovely pass over the top for Fabregas who brings the ball down on the right edge of the box. He tries to fire a low cross into the area, but Gomes smothers well.
Neat one-two from Sagna and Nasri puts the fullback behind the defence, but his cross is poor and Spurs clear.
Absolutely terrific atmosphere at the Emirates today. The home crowd are certainly fired up.
Lovely football from Tottenham, Bale cutting inside and feeding a neat through ball to Van der Vaart in behind the defence. Fabregas puts it behind for a corner, which Bale flicks goalwards but Fabianski saves comfortably.
Gallas is being booed with every touch. But he starts well covering an attempted Fabregas throughball to Nasri.

And Nasri has not shaken Gallas' hand. A personal matter apparantely.
The teams are out of the tunnel, and kick off is just minutes away.
Of course it is worth remembering that Arsenal are by no means in top form at the Emirates, havng lost against both Newcastle and West Bromwich Albion this season.
Gallas has emerged from the tunnel for a warm-up and was greeted to a round of boos.
Tottenham are looking for their first victory over their rivals in 17 years while Arsenal are looking to go top of the table at least temporarily.
Couple of interesting footnotes to today's match. Firstly William Gallas, ex-Arsenal captain, is captaining Tottenham today, and secondly Samir Nasri has said he will not shake his hand in the pre-match warm-up.
