Full-time. Porto take a 2-1 lead into the second leg at the Emirates Stadium next month after a controversial Falcao goal in the second half won the game for the Portuguese side. And what a night for Sol Campbell! The veteran centre-back could have been lining up for Notts County tonight in their 1-1 draw with League Two's 23rd placed side Grimsby Town but instead, he was scoring a goal in the Champions League at the Estadio do Dragao! Despite scoring an away goal, Arsenal still have it all to do to progress to the quarter-finals. Thanks for joining me tonight.

Eboue drills a low cross into the area after skimming Alvaro Pereira and Fernando gets a touch to the ball but only to Diaby on the edge of the box. The Frenchman looks as though he is going to shoot first time but he dithers on the ball and the move breaks down.

Claims for a corner for Arsenal but referee Hansson makes the wrong decision. Alvaro Pereira clears the ball against his own player, Rolando, under pressure from Carlos Vela, but Martin Hansson wrongly gives a goal-kick.

There is a break in play for Hulk to receive treatment after a collision with Diaby. The Brazilian is playing first game of 2010 tonight. He has been banned domestically after an apparent altercation with a steward against Benfica in December but is allowed to play in Europe.

Alvaro Pereira picks up a booking for clattering into Theo Walcott in an off the ball incident. Arsenal are looking to find Walcott since his arrival and Alvaro Pereira could be exposed at left-back if Walcott is given the chance to run at the Uruguayan.

Nasri clicks in a fantastic ball to Fabregas on the right side on the Porto area but the Spaniard's first touch is poor and Fernando gets in front of him to allow the ball to go out of play.

Ruben Micael picks up the ball 25 yards out from goal after a pass from Tomas Costa and as he looks up to pass, Theo Walcott storms back to tackle him and win back possession. Great tracking back from the England man.

Denilson plays the ball off substitute Tomas Costa to earn a corner. Arsenal send forward Vermaelen and Campbell but Bendtner's flick on from Fabregas' corner is headed clear by Fernando.

Walcott comes into the game straight away and looks to cut inside from the right with a darting run but Fernando comes across to challenge the youngster before breaking with the ball down the left.

Both side's make changes. Theo Walcott replaces Tomas Rosicky and will play on the right side of the Arsenal attack, while Tomas Costa has come on to replace Raul Meireles.

Fucile's long throw-in from the right finds Hulk inside the area and the Brazilian turns Clichy to smash the ball straight into Vermaelen's chest. The ball breaks the Hulk again but Clichy quickly gets in a challenge and clears.

Good chance for Porto. Raul Meireles chests the ball down 25 yards and fires the ball left-footed on the half-volley towards Fabianski's near post but the stand-in keeper does well to hold onto the ball.

Denilson plays a neat pass into Fabregas just inside the Porto penalty area and the Spaniard attempts to turn in the box but Bruno Alves gets a challenge in and clears the ball.

Hulk turns Campbell with a clever flick over the centre-back before firing a left-footed volley at goal but the Brazilian's fierce strike is met by Fabianski who claims the ball comfortably.

Nasri lays the ball off to Clichy on the left wing, who swings in a cross towards Bendtner in the area but Bruno Alves gets in front of the Arsenal man to nudge the ball away. Good defending.

GOAL! Quick thinking from Porto! Bruno Alves plays a hopeful ball up field and Campbell plays it back to Fabianski who picks the ball up and gives away an indirect free-kick. Fabianski protests with the referee and Ruben Micael plays the ball to Falcao who passes the ball into the open goal to make it 2-1!

Terrible shot from Bendtner. Falcao clumsily gives away the ball to Denilson on the halfway line and the Brazilian plays the ball to Bendtner in space around 30 yards out and he the Porto defenders back away but the Arsenal striker was caught in two minds and fires the ball well over the crossbar.

Excellent challenge from Sol Campbell. Falcao looks to run down the right wing after receiving a pass from Raul Meireles and Campbell races across from centre-back to slide the ball out of play.

Porto kick us off for the second half. No changes for either side at the break. In tonight's other Champions League match, Arjen Robben has put Bayern Munich 1-0 up at home to Fiorentina.

Half-time. Varela opened the scoring for Porto after Fabianski misjudged his cross before Sol Campbell's headed home to equalise. As you would expect, Arsenal have had much of the possession and a keeping the ball in midfield well but they are struggling to find a way past Rolando and Bruno Alves in the Porto defence.

Denilson clips in a pass to Bendtner on the edge of the area and the Denmark international brings the ball under control before attempting to get a shot away but Bruno Alves challenges him and clears the danger.

Clichy plays an excellent through ball down the left wing towards Fabregas who looks to latch on to the loose ball but Fucile gets across to smash the ball out for a throw-in.

The Gunners are compensating for their lack of height in the final third by pushing Diaby alongside Bendtner up front for goal-kicks in the hope one of them will win a flick on.

Fucile gets frustrated after Fabregas spins the ball past him and he pulls the Spaniard's shirt to bring him down on the left wing. Fabregas' delivery finds Bendtner in the area and he does well to rise above Rolando to head powerfully at goal but Helton pushes the ball over the bar.

Ruben Micael loses possession in the Arsenal half and Diaby and Fabregas look to hit Porto on the counter attack but Fabregas is fouled by Fernando. Bruno Alves then stupidly kicks the ball away and earns a yellow card.

Diaby gets booked for a late challenge on Varela. Fucile finds Varela on the right wing and as he attempts to jink his way past Diaby, the Frenchman arrives late and brings the goalscorer to the ground with a poorly timed slide tackle.

Great effort from Ruben Micael. Falcao, under pressure from Vermaelen, lays the ball off to the midfielder who takes a touch before firing towards the far corner from 25 yards out but Fabianski does well to palm the ball away.

Thomas Vermaelen mis-times his header on the halfway line and inadvertently heads the ball backwards and Falcao looks to rush onto the ball but Clichy does well to get back and play the ball to Fabianski who clears the danger.

Vermaelen gives away a silly free-kick on the edge of the area after blocking the run of Falcao. Hulk steps up to take the free-kick but fires his left-footed shot wide of the far post.

Great save from Helton. Rosicky darts towards goal after receiveing a pass 30 yards out and he strikes right-footed from the edge of the area but his fierce shot is pushed wide by the Brazilian goalkeeper.

GOAL! Sol Campbell gets the equaliser for Arsenal!! Fabregas' corner is flicked to the far post by Vermaelen to Rosicky who nods the ball into the six yard box to Sol Campbell of all people, who heads home unmarked from close range for his first Champions League goal since the 2006 final against Barcelona. Unbelievable!

Referee Martin Hansson awards a free-kick in a dangerous position on the edge of the box after Sagna barely touched Varela. Raul Meireles free-kick is poor and headed away by Campbell.

Arsenal have dominated possession since going a goal down. Rosicky, Denilson and Diaby playing the ball around in midfield but the Gunners can't find a way past the Porto defence as yet.

GOAL! Terrible error from Fabianski at his near post! Varela manages to find a way past Clichy on the right wing before mis-hitting his low cross into the area towards the near post and Fabianski is caught out of position and can only palm the ball into the goal. Porto lead 1-0!

Bruno Alves attempts an ambitious free-kick from around 30 yards out but his curling effort is comfortable for Fabianski who claims the ball with ease.

Rosicky plays a neat pass to Nasri in space on the edge of the area and he clips the ball into the path of the onrushing Fabregas but Helton rushes off his line to claim the ball ahead of the Spaniard.

Nasri wins the ball in the centre of the pitch before playing in Fabregas, who storms past Bruno Alves and steadies himself to shoot at goal but the Porto captain manages to get a toe to it to play the ball out for a corner. Good defending.

Two early chances for Porto. Falcao cuts inside from the left wing past Sol Campbell, who struggles to keep up with him, before shaping to shoot but the veteran centre-back gets back superbly to slide the ball away from Falcao. Moments later, Campbell failes to clear a Valera cut back from the right side of the Arsenal area and Hulk pounces on the ball to fire just wide of the far post.

Defensive mix-up for Porto already as Helton casually attempts clearance that bounces off Bendtner and out for a goal kick.

After a terrific start to the new year in which the Gunners topped the Premier League at one point, their form has dipped in recent weeks, defeat in the FA Cup to Stoke City and losses to Manchester United and Chelsea have somewhat dented their title challenge. And to make matters worse, Arsene Wenger is without some key players tonight.

Jesualdo Ferreira’s Porto side have had things all their way in the Portuguese top flight in recent years, winning six of the last seven league titles, but they currently lie 3rd in the table, nine points off league leaders Benfica. However, the hosts form has picked up of late and they have lost just one of their last ten games.

Their opponents Arsenal stormed through Group H, qualifying for the second phase with a game to spare, and despite fielding a weakened side for 1-0 loss away to Olympiakos on matchday six, the Gunners won the group by three points.

Porto ensured easy progression to the knockout stages, finishing second in Group D behind Chelsea, after winning four of their six group games, including an impressive 3-0 away win over Atletico Madrid.
