    John Ruddy

Produced a good save to deny Cameron Jerome. Other than that had very little to do. Would have suffered a mild heart-attack midway through the second half after see Bassong swing a wild boot at a Palace cross, only for it to fly over hiw own bar. Will be pleased with the clean sheet.

  • Russell Martin

    Russell Martin

Attacked well down the right in support of Redmond and Hoolahan. Provided a number of good crosses into the box and enjoyed a rather comfortable afternoon in defence.

  • S. Bassong

    S. Bassong

Strong at the back after earning a recall to Chris Hughton's side. Struggled to cope with Cameron Jerome however, and a number of poor clearances invited immediate pressure from Crystal Palace. Produced a vital clearance midway through the second half

  • Martin Olsson

    Martin Olsson

A crucial defensive performance from Olsson. Was in the right place at the right time to glance Barry Bannon's thunderous effort onto his own crossbar.

    Ryan Bennett

Like Bassong, he struggled at times to cope with Jerome's power and movement. Found Chamakh easier to deal with and stood his ground well. Justified his inclusion ahead of Michael Turner.

  • Jonny Howson

    Jonny Howson

Did the dirty work at the heart of Norwich's midfield. Sprayed the ball around well and played a key role in the ease at which Norwich dominated possession. Outstanding performance.

  • Leroy Fer

    Leroy Fer

Another strong midfield showing from Fer, he has been the real highlight of Norwich's season so far. A typical combative performance from the Dutchman.

  • Wesley Hoolahan

    Wesley Hoolahan

Created the goal for Norwich and combined well in attack. Wasteful at times but link-up play with both Hooper and Martin was really good.

  • Nathan Redmond

    Nathan Redmond

A constant threat to the Palace defence on either wing, was very unlucky not to claim an assist. Provided the free-kick that saw Elmander hit the bar and combined well with the Swede to help create Norwich's opener. Final ball let him down at times.

Gary Hooper Top of the Match

Opened the scoring for his side with a composed finish, for his second strike in two home games. Combined well with Elmander, Hoolahan and Redmond. Showing signs of finding his feet in the Premier League and was the matchwinner on the day. Given a standing ovation when replaced in injury time.

    Johan Elmander

His best performance for Norwich so far, very unlucky not give his side the lead when his acrobatic flick cannoned back off the crossbar. Played in Hoolahan to help create Norwich's opener. Replaced by Becchio late on.

    Luciano Becchio

    Julian Speroni

Had very little to do. Was beaten twice and had only the crossbar to thank for conceding just the one goal. Wrong-footed too easily by Hoolahan's square ball to Hooper for Norwich's goal.

  • Joel Ward

    Joel Ward

Often managed to block Redmond from getting a shot at goal in what was a rather intriguing battle between the pair. Did often give the winger too much space however.

    Danny Gabbidon

Defended well against Hooper and Elmander. Strong in the air and always on hand to clear the ball when his side needed him. A real leader in the Palace defence, communicated well with his team-mates.

    Dean Moxey

Almost created an equaliser for Palace with a fizzing low ball across goal. Struggled to cope in defence against Hoolahan and Martin however.

    Kagisho Dikgacoi

A poor performance in the heart of Palace's midfield. With Norwich dominating possession, he did later to alter that. Midfield is where the game was on, with the Eagles' pair firmly second best.

Fortunate to stay on the pitch after committing a number of fouls. Unlucky not to give his side the lead after seeing Olsson get back to deflect his drive onto the crossbar.
