Literally had nothing else to do than pick the ball out of the net following Benoit Pedretti’s winner. Was a spectator for 81 minutes.

  • Thiago Silva

    Thiago Silva

A much better game from the defender, who should’ve attacked Pedretti to deny him the goal. Nevertheless, led brilliantly in the closing stages as a captain should – hitting the crossbar, and seeing a shot go a whisker away from Ochoa’s goal. Needs to stop approaching referees when decisions go against him.

    Alex

The Brazilian was jittery in the opening exchanges and failed to significantly contribute to the PSG cause until late in the game, when his header was cleared off the line.

  • Maxwell

    Maxwell

Like full-back Jallet, Maxwell failed to sparkle defensively in the opening stages, but improved to play an active part in the onslaught his team participated in. Unlucky to not have a goal, thwarted by Ochoa.

  • Christophe Jallet

    Christophe Jallet

The right-back was frankly disappointing in the absence of Van der Wiel. His crossing was erratic, shooting even worse, but defensively, was a liability, and given the run-around by Diarra.

  • Thiago Motta

    Thiago Motta

Had huge influence in the PSG midfield by constantly carving out opportunities with a number of lofted balls created for Ibrahimovic and Cavani. At times wayward, but generally solid in possession.

  • Blaise Matuidi

    Blaise Matuidi

Typically reliable in the middle of the park, but Matuidi was less impressive this evening, due to allowing Ajaccio more freedom in the middle. Came off after a sickening head injury after a collision over Nadeau.

  • Javier Pastore

    Javier Pastore

The Argentine midfielder endured another poor performance this evening, failing to impress once again. Poor on the pass, and even worse attacking. Nevertheless, showed great movement to evade the Ajaccio defence.

  • Lucas

    Lucas

Bit disappointing from the Brazilian, who normally thrives for the club. Showed some good touches and link-ups, but failed to really bring out the best in the PSG attack with his qualities.

  • Edinson Cavani

    Edinson Cavani

Delighted the home fans with a brilliantly taken goal when all else seemed to fail. And it capped off a good evening for the €64m man, who complemented Ibrahimovic well, and creating a variety of chances.

  • Zlatan Ibrahimovic

    Zlatan Ibrahimovic

A good evening from the Sweden international, who nevertheless was upstaged. When his side were sluggish up front, he excelled, constantly highlighting his aerial threat and challenging Ochoa. Always there or thereabouts when it mattered.

  • Marco Verratti

    Marco Verratti

The Italian came on for Matuidi following a horrific head collision, and failed to make an impact until late on, when he could’ve had the winner, but inexplicably passed the ball on.

  • Ezequiel Lavezzi

    Ezequiel Lavezzi

Thrown on to offer an alternative up front for les Parisiens. An improvement on Pastore, but again failing to seriously assert himself.

  • Hervin Ongenda

    Hervin Ongenda

Teenager had a cameo late on for PSG, and set up Cavani for the equaliser.

  • Francisco Guillermo Ochoa

    Francisco Guillermo Ochoa

Simply put, you will not see a better goalkeeping performance this season. PSG had 34 shots, more than a dozen on target, and Ochoa rightly will earn the plaudits for a fantastic performance which illuminated the Parc. Might’ve been beaten by Cavani’s sweet strike, but on the whole, was thoroughly impressive with a number of awe-inspiring stops.

  • G. Perozo

    G. Perozo

Like Bonnart, the defender was slightly erratic when judging the runs of the forward players, allowing the likes of Cavani and Ibrahimovic to utilise the space forward. Nevertheless, linked up well with Diarra on the left-wing. Subbed at half-time.

  • Ronald Zubar

    Ronald Zubar

The former Marseille defender enjoyed ‘one of those nights’ for Ajaccio. Stunning at every turn, and was the reason (along with Ochoa) that PSG were frustrated in the first half. Displayed his strength, as well as a number of well-timed tackles.

  • Laurent Bonnart

    2
    3.00

    Laurent Bonnart

Struggled a little with Ibrahimovic’s early aerial threats, but generally solid at the back for the Corsican side. Stifled Cavani for long periods, but began to tire after a hard night.

  • Jean-Baptiste Pierazzi

    Jean-Baptiste Pierazzi

The Ajaccio captain led by example, by frustrating PSG constantly throughout the defence and midfield. Showed great positional awareness to track runs and movements and block everything that came his way.

  • Sigamary Diarra

    Sigamary Diarra

The winger was superb in the opening stages, terrorising a rather poor Christophe Jallet at the back with his bursts of pace and good range of passing. As Ajaccio deployed a rather defensive outlook, found his time on the ball limited.

  • M. Mostefa

    M. Mostefa

The French-Algerian midfielder starred initially the middle of the park. Eagerly going forward during the few moments that Ajaccio were in attack, he did well to spread play efficiently out on the wings. In defence, however, he was rather more average, not doing enough to thwart the hosts.

  • Paul Lasne

    Paul Lasne

The midfielder switched to defensive mode after the opener to preserve the lead. Not his best position, but Lasne did well closing down the PSG midfield, with Motta sloppy on the ball. More sloppy as the game went on, and booked for a rash challenge.

  • Benoit Pedretti

    3.00

    Benoit Pedretti

The former Lille midfielder made the surprise switch to the Corsican island a few weeks back, but stunned the capital side with a fantastic curling goal to open the scoring. Other than that, was rather quiet, though was a little indisciplined, giving away needless free-kicks.

  • Adrian Mutu

    2
    2.00

    Adrian Mutu

A truly disappointing encounter from the Romanian, but whether that was down to Ajaccio’s tactics is not certain. Made less than 10 touches with the ball, and subbed off.

  • Joshua Nadeau

    2

    Joshua Nadeau

The young 18-year-old defender had never played any higher than the reserve team, but was thrown in at the deep end away to the champions due to Andre’s suspension. Was generally solid on the ball, and efficient, though at times failed to stop Maxwell and Pastore from delivering key balls from the left-wing. Substituted after seeing his game curtailed by a nasty head injury.

    Claude Dielna

Came on for Perozo, and like his team-mate, contributed significantly to the defence led by his side. Lucky not to have given away a penalty late on.

  • Dennis Oliech

    Dennis Oliech

The Kenya international came on for Mutu midway through the second half. Other than brief moments on the counter, was largely a spectator.
