Could do nothing about Bartley's header, which smacked his crossbar, but otherwise looked untroubled.
Won every race for the ball, got forward well and pushed Routledge deeper and deeper into his own half. Delivered a wonderful cross for Walcott to turn against the post.
Got forward when he could but was guilty of allowing Dyer a bit too much time on the ball. Improved in the second half and forced Swansea back.
Wasn't overly troubled up against Graham, though he did invite pressure with some halfway line dithering.
His close range free-kick fizzed just over the crossbar before an even better chance was spurned 10 yards out as Vorm made a fine save. Wasn't at his best defensively but then made up for it with a couple of well-timed last ditch challenges.
The big man started his second game in a week and looked impressive in the middle with Coquelin. Sometimes had a tendency to dally on the ball but his pass to set Walcott free was inch perfect and deserved a better finish.
Drifted in and out of the game but rifled a powerful effort from 20 yards just over Vorm's bar. Other than that he had very little influence from the left. Not a game to remember.
Struck one rasping volley that was well gathered by Vorm and otherwise slotted in adequately alongside Diaby.
Top of the Match
His driving run in the first half was emblematic of his desire to break Swansea down and his work around the box was full of invention. Forced a good save from Vorm after twisting free of his markers and continued to drive Arsenal on. Was rewarded when he linked up with Giroud to volley superbly past Vorm from 20 yards and win the game.
Guilty of missing two good chances in the opening 10 minutes, putting one header over and a right-footed shot wide at the near post. Wasn't always on the right wavelength and missed a number of chances over the 90 minutes. Stayed calm though and cushioned a nice lay-off for Wilshere's winner.
Was moved back to his right-wing spot but looked confident as he burst past Tiendalli early on to cross for Giroud. Spurned a great chance early in the second half, clipping the ball wide of the far post when in on goal but otherwise looked Arsenal's most potent weapon. Will wonder how on earth he didn't tap home Vorm's parry as Graham shouldered clear, before missing a fine chance inside the box, curling wide. Hit the post with a glancing header which rather summed up his night - he would not have scored if he'd played for another three hours.
Showed safe hands from Gibbs' well-drilled effort and his distribution was usually excellent. Made a vital stop with his legs on the stroke of half-time before being peppered by shots from all manner of angles. Did well before thanking the intervention of his far post as it rebounded Walcott's header into his arms. Had no chance with the Wilshere winner.
Much improved since the start of the season, Chico put his body on the line in the box whenever Arsenal broke forward. He was fortunate, perhaps, to get away with a shirt pull on Walcott when he was in on goal. Unlucky to watch his headed effort at goal hit the side netting with 10 minutes to go.
Played at left-back and found the going tough up against the electric Walcott. Conceded time and space in the opening stages but gradually grew into the game. Was helped when Walcott wandered into the middle, but overall didn't impress.
The former Gunner was extremely unlucky to see his header from six yards ping back off the crossbar. Otherwise did well in patches but occasionally caught out for pace.
Didn't have a pacy winger to deal with, but was up against the tricky Cazorla. The young defender did well though, keeping the Spaniard largely quiet. Didn't proceed much beyond the halfway line, however.
Jonathan De Guzmán
Didn't have his most impressive game but was neat and tidy nonetheless. He harried the Arsenal midfield for the 62 minutes he was on the pitch before being replaced by Ki.
Slotted into the middle of the midfield and displayed an impressive array of passing when allowed to do so. He was replaced on the hour mark by Pablo Hernandez.
Neat and tidy as ever and kept Swansea calm when in possession. Much of their impressive ball retention was down to the rhythm he created.
A peripheral figure for much of the game. Offered next to nothing in attack and just an extra body in defence when Gibbs got forward.
Like Dyer, he couldn't get forward and hurt Arsenal, instead giving assistance to the struggling Tiendalli at left-back.
Flop of the Match
Had Swansea's first real chance on 20 minutes but dragged his 20-yard effort horribly wide. Didn't have much luck going forward and his link play was often sloppy but he made a crucial intervention on his own goal-line, deflecting the ball clear with his shoulder. Was replaced by Michu with 20 minutes to go.
Came on for Agustien in the 60th minute but struggled to impact the game from the left.
Replaced De Guzman with 28 minutes remaining to provide more height in the Swansea midfield. Fired a low drive that was well turned behind by Szczesny.
Came on for Graham with 20 to play with a new haircut but could not conjure anything of note.
