And that just about wraps up our LIVE! coverage of the England squad announcement. For the people just joining us (WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!?) here are the main talking points from today:
- Fraizer Campbell has earned his first ever England call-up, while Micah Richards is recalled to the squad after only one substitute appearance under Fabio Capello.
- Tom Cleverley is also part of the England team to face the Netherlands next week.
- Frank Lampard, Rio Ferdinand, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Joleon Lescott and Andy Carroll all miss out on the squad.
- Steven Gerrard is back in the team for the first time since November 2010.

I would also like to take this opportunity to wish Gareth Barry a very happy 31st birthday. Not a bad way to celebrate it, either, by being named in the England squad to face the Netherlands.

Fraizer Campbell has taken to Twitter to tell people his feelings after his England call-up: "Absolutely delighted to be part of the england team. Been the longest and hardest 18 months of my life and feel truly honoured to be given a chance. Thanks for all your positive tweets means a lot!"
Now, not all players are happy with the England squad, notably the seemingly forgotten man, Joey Barton who has tweeted: "Looks like I am gonna have to buy an England top like everyone else now........ #nophonecall". Now, away from the announcement of the England squad, Carlos Tevez rejoined the Manchester City first team today for training. They haven't exactly been banging in the goals recently in the Premier League. Can the Argentine be the boost to their team that pushes them over the line for the title?

Now, some reaction to the England kit: @IsleyTHFC suggests that the kit is "Horrendous, with a capital H," while others have enquired as to whether we're sure that's the England football kit, and not the rugby version. I can assure you, it really is.

Now I must warn you, there is some distressing news coming out of the Merseyside area concerning the whereabouts of a springy individual who was terrorising Brad Friedel's penalty area a few weeks ago - THE ANFIELD CAT IS MISSING! Reports suggest that Shankly has escaped his foster home and is out on the streets again. Perhaps he is heading down to north London in anticipation of Sunday's league cup final between Cardiff and Liverpool?
