Well in the words of Porky Pig, 'that's all folks'. It's been a big day for the future of the next England manager and it's also a big day for Tottenham, with the prospect of them losing their manager Harry Redknapp at the end of the season growing ever more likely. Another former England manager Sven Goran Eriksson has also had his say on the matter in an interview with the BBC: "I think Redknapp would be a very, very good choice. He's English, he knows his football, there are no doubts about that. He is doing a great job with Tottenham and he's been doing a great job with every team he's had in the past, so I would say yes it would be him." Pretty definitive stuff, that.

Time for some reaction from a former England manager, and we've got Graham Taylor telling the BBC about the likelihood of Harry Redknapp getting the post: "Should the FA wish to offer him the England manager's job it's a clear path for them. I think it's likely after the European Championship. Harry Redknapp is well in line to become the next England manager, and now that his innocence has been proved I fully expect it to happen."

More on whether Capello would be asked to stay on if he helped secure an unlikely Euro 2012 triumph over on Twitter with joedoyle_ offering: "Might be asked, but probably wouldn't want to anyway. Said he wants to retire, can't see what would entice him back." while LyanSwann simply says: "bow out I hope." He hasn't been all that bad has he?

More reaction on whether Harry Redknapp is now assured of the England job courtesy of former FA executive director David Davies, who told the BBC: "If you had a poll of all the football supporters in the country, Harry would be the overwhelming top choice for the job. But there are a few other strong candidates, who are also English, and one or two who aren't as well." I think there may be a few Tottenham fans prepared to sabotage that poll if it ever came to fruition.
