SALZBURG 1-2 CELTIC - BROWN GOAL

GOAL: Celtic lead again! Callum McGregor does brilliantly to get to the byline before clipping a ball into the box, which is cleared. Scott Brown latches on to the rebound and fires a volley at goal which takes a horrible deflection off Ramalho before nestling in the corner!

GROUP H PREVIEW

Isn’t it about time Everton won something? Their fans have waited since FA Cup glory in 1995 for more silverware and have only come close on one occasion since, losing the 2009 final to Chelsea. Wolfsburg, who wanted £28 million man Romelu Lukaku in the summer but ended up with the one... the only... Lord Bendtner, will provide a stern test.

SALZBURG 1-1 CELTIC - GORDON SAVES AGAIN!

LIVE commentary: Alan takes advantage of some unsure Celtic defending to turn sharply on the edge of the box and drill a half volley at the corner, but the goalkeeper somehow gets across goal again to turn behind the post!

TEAM NEWS RECAP

Yowzers. Roberto Martinez is taking the Europa League seriously this season. He sticks with the same XI that beat West Brom 2-0 at the weekend, with Samuel Eto’o only on the bench. Lord Bendtner is only a substitute for Wolfsburg. Sad face :(

GROUP G PREVIEW

And so to the later kick-offs. Sevilla edged out Benfica on penalties to win the Europa League for a third time in May. Can they do it again? Well, they do have history. The Andalusians are vying to become the first club to win the tournament in consecutive seasons since, well, themselves in 2006 and 2007.

SALZBURG 1-1 CELTIC - SUMMARY

Martin Macdonald reports: “Celtic debutant Mubarak Wakaso made the perfect start to life with his new club when he fired an excellent strike in to the far corner to put the Scottish champions a goal up. However, Salzburg continually grew into the match as the half went on and eventually equalised thanks to a deflected strike from Alan to make it 1-1. An entertaining opening 45 minutes! Either side could pick up the win here!”

PARTIZAN 0-0 TOTTENHAM - SUMMARY

A half of very few clear-cut chances on an awful pitch in Belgrade. The best two chances of the half for Tottenham came the way of Harry Kane, but he could only strike the woodwork inside the first two minutes before firing against the side-netting later on. Partizan have tested Hugo Lloris (#PrayForVorm) on a couple of occasions but it’s been even so far. All square at the break.

SALZBURG 1-1 CELTIC - ALAN GOAL

GOAL: There's the equaliser! Kevin Kampl slides a ball through to Alan who takes a few strides forward before having a crack at goal. The attempt takes a wicked deflection off Efe Ambrose and loops over the head of Craig Gordon in to the net. Certainly fortuitous, but Salzburg wont mind!
