"We have fortunately Walcott coming back soon. I believe Sanogo will have an impact this season. We have Podolski, we have Campbell who can play centre-forward.
"To find players who are better than the players we have would be very difficult now. We will consider. Just in England you cannot, every time you have a problem, always buy. If you have an injury afte rthe 1st of September, you have to live with it."
Arsene Wenger confirms that Olivier Giroud is out until December/January - a huge blow for the Gunners.
"The news is that he had surgery today, that surgery went well, but he will be out for - maybe to be competitive at the top, top level - end of December, beginning of January."

Wayne Veysey reports from the Emirates Stadium: "A relieved Emirates faithful file out of the stadium safe in the knowledge that their team will appear in the Champions League proper for a 17th consecutive year. Arsenal had to dig in to see off a wonderfully committed Besiktas, who threw the kitchen sink at the hosts in the final minutes following the sending-off of Debuchy. Wenger's team rode their luck at times but they also played with a fluency that has been lacking in some of their early season displays."

Athletic Bilbao 3-1 Napoli (Agg 4-2)
Bayer Leverkusen 4-0 FC Copenhagen (Agg 7-2)
