Penalty? Apparently not. Ahmed Elmohamady clips Mesut Ozil inside the Hull area but the referee doesn’t give anything. Arsenal have a right to feel aggrieved.
Crazy scenes! Play was going on as normal at the other end of the pitch and, with most players having their backs turned away from the ad boards, a flurry of white boards flew halfway across the pitch. I hate to go all health and safety, but they could have hurt! The assistant referee was able to get out of the way, fortunately, and the referee seemed to see the funny side.
Peter Staunton reports from the KC Stadium: “A gust of wind has blown half of the sponsor boards onto the field from the main stand side of the ground. Just before, Mikel Arteta was hit hard in the head by the boot of Tom Huddlestone. It's been a lively start here at the KC Stadium but the game has yet to settle into a pattern.”
Mikel Arteta looks to be in pain after a high boot from Tom Huddlestone catches the Arsenal captain on the side of his head. The referee has a word with the Hull midfielder and Arteta is fine to continue.
We’re under way at the KC Stadium!
We’ll shortly be under way at the KC Stadium. First, a minute’s silence for Hull legend Andy Davison, who died earlier this month at the age of 81.
Opta: "20 - Liverpool have now scored 3+ goals in 20 Premier League games this season, matching Man City's PL record set two seasons ago. Spree."
What a finish at Carrow Road. Liverpool move five points clear at the top of the Premier League but they were made to work for it by a Norwich side who, given their remaining three fixtures, will have a tough task to avoid relegation to the Championship. Raheem Sterling was the star of the show for Brendan Rodgers’ men.
Michael Turner is now playing as a striker for Norwich and JOHN RUDDY IS FORWARD FOR A FREE KICK! It comes to nothing and he’s forced to sprint back to his goal. That's gotta be it...
How have Liverpool not wrapped this up??? Lucas Leiva has two chances to finish from close range but, after his first effort is saved by John Ruddy, he somehow fails to convert at the second attempt.
As Raheem Sterling is named man of the match, the fourth official indicates there will be FOUR minutes added on. Pressure...
It’s been a scrappy last couple of minutes. Neither team has had a chance on goal, though, with Liverpool happy to keep the ball as far away from Norwich as possible.
Norwich are putting immense pressure on Liverpool in these closing stages. We have five minutes of normal time remaining and the visitors are rattled. Can they hold on to make it 11 wins in a row?
SO CLOSE! Norwich really should be level. Ricky van Wolfswinkel hasn’t scored since the opening day of the season but nearly makes it 3-3 with a header from close range. Sadly for The Wolf, it’s straight at Simon Mignolet. Liverpool got away with that.
Aaaaand Norwich are going for it now - on come Josh Murphy and Ricky van Wolfswinkel for Leroy Fer and Gary Hooper. Liverpool are going more defensive with Daniel Agger replacing Joe Allen. It's up for grabs now!
GOAL: How’s your nerve, Liverpool? Robert Snodgrass pulls another one back for Norwich by finding space between Mamadou Sakho and Jon Flanagan to head home Martin Olsson’s left-wing cross. Twelve minutes left at Carrow Road.
First change of the game for Liverpool. Victor Moses is on in place of Philippe Coutinho.
Liverpool have now scored 52 goals in the Premier League in 2014. WE’RE IN APRIL!
