CHELSEA 1-0 SCHALKE - DROGBAAAAA...

...really should score. The Stamford Bridge crowd rise to their feet as the veteran striker is played through on goal, but his touch is too heavy and he can only drag an effort a yard wide of the far post. So close.

BARCELONA 1-0 APOEL - CHANCE!

LIVE commentary: “Huge chance for APOEL! The visitors win a corner, after Bartra makes a vital block to deny an opportunity stemming from three yellow shirts finding space at the back post, but it comes to nothing! Ter Stegen was wrong-footed, with the Spanish defender's intervention saving the hosts!”

FOOTBALL LEAGUE LATEST

In the absence of any major second-half incidents so far in the Champions League, apart from ANOTHER goal for Roma, a little update from the Championship. Former Bayern Munich boss Felix Magath is in a real fight to save his job at Fulham and reports claim he could be axed tonight if his side lose to Nottingham Forest. Bad news: They went 2-0 down. Good news: It’s now 2-2.

By the way, Edin Dzeko remains on for the visitors. He's moving okay but Sergio Aguero is warming up again on the touchline. Expect the Argentine to be introduced shortly.

BARCELONA 1-0 APOEL - SUMMARY

Simon Harrison reports: “Barcelona head into the dressing room with a slender one-goal lead, courtesy of a header from Gerard Pique. The hosts have been by far the better side, dominating possession and leaving Ter Stegen with very little to do. APOEL are remaining organised and resilient, however.”

BAYERN MUNICH 0-0 MAN CITY - SUMMARY

Both teams have had chances but it was Thomas Muller who had the best opportunity of the game inside two minutes. He rounded Joe Hart after being played through by Robert Lewandowski but could only find the side-netting. It’ll be interesting to see if Edin Dzeko returns for the second half after injuring his back just before half-time. Sergio Aguero awaits...

CHELSEA 1-0 SCHALKE - VIEW FROM STAMFORD BRIDGE

Wayne Veysey reports: “Chelsea are cheered off the field at the break but they have lived dangerously at times and this match is still on a knife-edge. The hosts were good value for their early lead as Hazard ran amok but Schalke came back into it and finished the half well. Mourinho's side need a second goal to be safe.”

BARCELONA 1-0 APOEL - MESSI GOES CLOSE

LIVE commentary: Urko Pardo denies Lionel Messi! The Argentine sets Neymar away down the left, before the former Santos man stops the ball dead and tees up his team-mate once again. Messi takes one touch before mustering up a powerful left-footed strike from 16 yards, but the goalkeeper palms it away!

BAYERN MUNICH 0-0 MAN CITY - DZEKO INJURY

Half chance for Bacary Sagna as he wins a flick-on at the near post from a corner and forces a save out of Manuel Neuer. Edin Dzeko then falls to ground making an excellent challenge on the edge of the area and somehow receives a booking. He hurts his back in the process and needs treatment on the sidelines. Looks like Sergio Aguero may replace him.
