To recap, Joachim Low is going absolutely nowhere. The World Cup-winning Germany boss told his football association's official website: "I did not think about it for one second. I was doing what was agreed upon before the World Cup: that we would sit down and analyse the tournament, as we have done after every tournament. I had not extended my contract until 2016 just to terminate it early. But I have been very aware that all the developments after the World Cup could create some new dynamics."
Marisa Alija Ramos, one of Robinho’s agents, has revealed that Brazilian clubs Atletico Mineiro and Cruizeiro have joined Orlando City in the race for the 30-year-old. Hello, hello, hello. What have we here? Asked if he urged Sami Khedira to join Arsenal during their time together at the World Cup, Lukas Podolski told Bild: "I didn't have to. Sami knows how much fun he could have with me, Mesut and Per at Arsenal. We had a great time together at the World Cup and would like it very much if he comes to London."
FC Basel have announced the signing of veteran defender Walter Samuel on a one-year deal. The 36-year-old, a free agent after leaving Inter at the end of last season, will wear the No.6 shirt. Uh-oh! Carlos Tevez is up to his old tricks again! Goal understands Frank Lampard is on the verge of finally joining New York City FC. The 36-year-old midfielder is a free agent after leaving Chelsea and is due to earn £90,000-a-week with the new MLS franchise. Their debut season will not begin until next year, though, so he looks likely to join David Villa in moving on loan to Melbourne City to maintain fitness.
Cardiff defender/midfielder/handyman Gary Medel looked on course for a move to Inter following the Welsh club's relegation to the Championship. However, according to the BBC, Galatasaray are also interested and Cardiff are hoping to receive around £11 million - the amount they paid for him last year - if they do sell him this summer.

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has expressed an interest in Ron Vlaar as a replacement for Liverpool-bound defender Dejan Lovren. However, Ronald, I’m afraid I’ve got some bad news. Vlaar ain’t moving. Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert is quoted as saying by The Sun: "Ron is not only an Aston Villa player, he is our captain. He has one year remaining on his contract and he is staying here."
