"I'm very happy to be here and very happy to see the guys and the fans today and to start to do my job for West Ham," says Alex Song. "I think this is very important for me to be coming back to London to West Ham, which is a club with ambition to build a new stadium and become a big club. I am very excited to be part of this project."

What do you make of Alex Song's return to British football? The former Arsenal midfielder may not have been a success at Barcelona but is that a coup for West Ham? Let me know your thoughts on Twitter.

Burnley 0-0 Manchester United

So Louis van Gaal is still without a Premier League win at the Red Devils after a frustrating draw at Turf Moor - Daley Blind looks to be on his way to the Red Devils, and they certainly need a player who can drive out from the back with the ball.

REMY MOVE

Here's what Harry Redknapp had to say to Sky Sports News about Loic Remy: "I just got a phone call at about 12 o’clock today - he was going to play - to say it looks like he’s going to be moving. I spoke to the boy. It’s difficult - the deal looks like it’s probably done. I had to make a change in the team.

[Did you want him to play?] "Oh yeh. He didn’t refuse to play, I just felt it’s difficult if he’s getting a move tonight and signing for another team to go out there with his head around playing today. I felt it’s better if we go with someone who’s going to be here and part of what we’re doing, and got nothing else going on in his head.

[It’s Chelsea?] "As far as I know, yeh."

DI MARIA SUBBED

Manchester United's new signing has been replaced by Anderson - yes, Anderson - after flexing his knee against Burnley. Looks like he was taken off as a precaution, but it's yet another problem that Louis van Gaal doesn't need.

INCENDIARY

Former Italy striker Gianluca Vialli believes there are too many foreigners currently playing in Serie A.

"Within the rules anyone can work as they want, with the utmost respect for Udinese, who have created a healthy and sustainable model by getting players from all over the world," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"But I'd definitely return to the football of the 1980s. You can do it by choice, even if regulations don't demand it. It's better to have three foreigners because you can find space for Italians."
