Toby Alderweireld’s father (also his agent) says a deal has NOT been agreed with Tottenham. The Atletico Madrid defender had reportedly been set to join Spurs in an £11.5 million deal.
"There is no deal at the moment," Vic Alderweireld told Voetbalkrant. "There are talks here and there, but there are no changes compared to the last weeks. But it's still early in the transfer window. We're kind of used to agreeing terms in the last weeks over the last couple of years, so we just have to wait."
Tottenham’s Dele Alli has revealed that he rejected a move to Liverpool to gain more first-team football at MK Dons. The 19-year-old joined Spurs in January before spending the second half of last season back on loan at The Dons.
"At the time I didn’t feel it was the right move to Liverpool personally," he told FourFourTwo. "I wanted to stay at MK a bit longer to get some more first-team experience."
He spent the 2014-15 season at Manchester City but Frank Lampard insists he has no plans to move back to the Premier League at any stage of his time with New York City FC.
"I might train somewhere to stay fit [after the MLS season], but I won't play anywhere,” he said. “I've had my time in the Premier League and Europe and it's not going to happen now."
