Having finally escaped his Newcastle United hell - via an ill-fated loan spell at Hull City - Hatem Ben Arfa joined Nice earlier this season but won't be able to play for them in 2014-15, with Fifa ruling that he has played for two clubs already this season in competitive matches.
The LFP have subsequently banned Ben Arfa for the remainder of the campaign, with a statement reading: "In application of the decision, the LFP has no other choice but to ban Hatem Ben Arfa from playing official matches with Nice until the end of the season."
According to the BBC, Nice plan to take the decision to court.
