FC Dallas looks to break its five-game winless streak on Wednesday night when it heads to the west coast to take on the Galaxy. Expect a low scoring draw.
FC Dallas has fallen flat after starting the season strong. The Texans are coming off a 1-1 home draw against Chivas USA in their last match and are 1-3-1 on the road so far.
They are missing leading goal scorer Michel due to injury, and I expect them to sit back and fight to hold on to the draw. A Dallas win is listed right now at a large 7.50 over at British bookmaker William Hill, but that result would be a large surprise. A double chance selection that sees either a draw or a visitor win is paying out 2.70, something not often seen in MLS.
The outright draw is available at 4.33 and offers very decent value.
Like their opponents, the LA Galaxy have not fared much better this season. They are last in the Western Conference, albeit with three games in hand, but still have a losing record of 2-3-3. They have not won in four matches and are coming off a 1-0 loss at Houston on the weekend.
Landon Donovan and Omar Gonzalez are on national duty for the World Cup but they still have Robbie Keane, who leads the team with five goals, as well as having Rob Friend and Juninho available. The hosts can be taken now with odds of 1.44 to take full points.
Expect a low scoring match here with the under 2.5 paying 1.91. The Galaxy have only allowed seven goals from their eight matches which makes them only one of two teams (Sporting Kansas the other) to have allowed less than a goal per game. FC Dallas is widely expected to sit back and hold on for a point which makes this the value pick for tonight.
