San Lorenzo hosts Rosario on Thursday, and a win for the home side looks promising with a payout very close to evens. Kickoff is at 5:10pm EST.
San Lorenzo can leap several teams into second place in the Argentina Primera on Thursday with a victory over visiting Rosario Central. Los Santos are 3-2 on the season so far, with both of their home matches resulting in a pair of 1-0 wins over Racing Club and Quilmes.
They are coming off a 1-0 away loss to River Plate on the weekend, and they will miss midfielder Nestor Ortigoza who received a red in the game. Still, they haven't lost at home in 10 league matches and they have a much more formidable roster than their opponent. As a result, the hosts are offered at a decent 1.95 by Goal Canada betting partner William Hill.
A draw pick is listed at 3.10, but I expect the home result to come out here.
Rosario Central is 2-2-1 so far and has lost two straight, including a 1-0 home defeat against Colon. Los Canallas are offered at 4.00 for the outright pick, while the double chance is at 1.71.
The under 2.5 is the overwhelming favourite due to the low-scoring nature of the league and because San Lorenzo games have produced the second lowest total in the league so far. San Lorenzo's last seven games have also produced two goals or less. That selection is available at 1.50, and though that is thin on value you could add it to a parlay selection in order to beef it up.
In the teams to score sector the San Lorenzo only selection is at 2.75, and that is certainly something worthy of consideration given the club has yet to allow a goal at home while Rosario hasn't scored in two straight games.
