South America's best tournament has a pair of games on tap Tuesday including Brazilian side Cruzeiro as it hosts Universidad de Chile with a 3:30pm EST kickoff.
Universidad de Chile won its opening Copa Libertadores match with a 1-0 result over Uruguayan side Defensor Sporting. The Santiago-based club is currently in sixth spot on the Chilean table with a 4-3-1 mark, and though it is in mid-season condition it will be in tough against the Brazilian side.
The visitors come in as 5.50 underdogs over at William Hill, while the double chance is presently available at a respectable 2.45. So if they win or draw, your bet hits.
The outright draw pick is being offered at a chunky 4.00, while the double draw brings that even higher to 6.00.
Cruzeiro lost its opening Liberdatores match, its first appearance in six years, by a 2-1 result to Peruvian side Real Garcilaso, and the Brazilian league hasn't started yet. As a result there is natural concern about Cruzeiro's fitness heading into Tuesday's tilt, but being at home along with having a strong squad should give it the edge here tonight.
The hosts are favoured at 1.53 to win in the 1x2 and 3.60 with both teams to score. They went 23-8-7 last season in domestic play and were outstanding offensively with 77 goals. They also only lost two matches at home last season in league play, while conceding less than a goal per.
The O/U sector sees an even payout of 1.91 on both sides of the fence, but I favour the over due to Cruzeiro's solid attack while at home.
