The two basement dwellers in the Eastern Conference face off tonight in the American capital when D.C. United hosts Toronto FC at 7pm EDT. TFC is at just under 4.00 coming in.Bet today and take advantage of a sweet deal from William Hill where you can land a $100 betting bonus simply by opening a free account!
D.C. United have lost two straight and four of their last five matches coming into tonight's tilt against Toronto. The squad has by far the worst offensive production in MLS, with only 14 goals from its 24 games this season, and its home record of 3-8-1 (W-L-T) is second worst only to Toronto. D.C.'s goal difference is larger than the amount of games it's played, which says a lot.
If this was any other opponent D.C. would easily be underdogs yet again, but it is TFC they are playing and because of that United are favoured by bookies with William Hill offering evens (2.00). The draw/home result brings that up to 4.40. I don't like either.
A draw result can be taken at 3.40 and is appealing of the 1x2 picks because of how badly these teams have performed this year. A draw/draw result may be pushing it, but at 4.80 offers good value in the halftime/fulltime market.
Toronto beat D.C. the last time it visited back on June 15 by a 2-1 scoreline, which is the only time this year TFC has scored more than a single goal while on the road. The Reds' 2-8-2 away record doesn't exude confidence whatsoever, and they are without Mattias Laba tonight due to injury that sees him our for at least a month.
What I do like tonight is for both teams to score which is at 1.91. D.C. has scored in four of its last five games and has conceded at least a goal in seven of its last eight.
