William Hill has taken soccer betting to another level with Virtual Soccer. If you thought betting on real soccer was something, Virtual Soccer is a whole new planet.
Well, William Hill has done it again folks. As if soccer fans needed any more reason to bet on the sport.
Welcome to Virtual Soccer.
Betting on Virtual Soccer is literally like betting on a soccer video game in which the computer plays the computer. You literally get to bet on international teams going at it in an online action simulator.
Though I very much prefer the real sport, Virtual Soccer is an evolutionary cycle for betting firms and it is growing rapidly in popularity. For those quiet days where there are no real games to wager on, a bettor can simply click the soccer icon on the William Hill front page, hit the Virtual Soccer tab, and take his pick of a never-ending array of international matches.
Want to bet on Spain vs Italy? Perhaps you fancy England vs Germany? Well the computer generator randomly selects a list of matches in which you can bet on items like the 1x2 (home-tie-away), correct score, total goals, over/under, and Asian handicap.
There is a two-minute wait in between matches and then the computer shows you between a handful of match highlights that last about a minute. The highlights are live action and include full out dribbling, passing, shots, corner kicks, penalties and big saves all served with authentic sounding commentary and crowd chants. They even show replays.
When the game is done, there is a screen that shows the full results of what transpired on a scoresheet, just a like a post-game report, to make it easier to track which bets hit.
Even if you don't care to wager on virtual sports, you have to at least check out Virtual Soccer just to see what it is about. The technology and concept alone will blow your mind away.
