Korea takes on Uzbekistan for top spot in Group A, with the winner looking at a potential World Cup berth on Tuesday.
Only two games remain for South Korea and Uzbekistan in their respective World Cup Qualifying campaigns. Both share top spot in Group A with identical 3-1-2 records, and a win for either side today would more or less secure a ticket to Brazil next summer.
In their prior encounter, the game was an entertaining 2-2 affair, but the Koreans will now have home advantage on Tuesday. They have averaged two goals for in each of their matches thus far and are coming off a 1-1 away draw on Friday against Lebanon.
Naturally, William Hill have them favoured at odds of 1.53 to win in the 1x2 and 2.37 in the halftime/fulltime pick. The latter is of decent value, but there is also an expectation that the very defensive Uzbeki squad is expected to play very tight at the back, which makes the draw/home result at 4.00 look good.
The draw itself is at 3.75, but I don't anticipate the result of their last match against one another to repeat itself here.
Uzbekistan is listed at a very robust 7.00 and though a very unknown side, it has not lost in its last five matches. The visitors have won three straight games by a 1-0 score, which is paying out 13.00, but giving the Koreans their first loss at home is very hard to fathom.
The under 2.5 looks to be the best option in the total goals selection, but at 1.65 isn't exactly screaming value. Consider combining that with the 1.60 for both teams not to score bet which will land you $26.40 on a $10 bet. Although Uzbekistan has scored in three consecutive away games, it has a weak offence without a true breakout striker.
