It is finally here folks. The Champions League Final between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund is upon us and here is the first of three parts looking at the available odds.
We brought you the early lines on this epic encounter a few days ago and here is what we will be working with leading up to kickoff. There are well over 200-plus bets being made available from William Hill for this match and you can bet during the match from your smartphone or tablet.
Bayern Munich went up a mere five cents to 1.80 to win outright while simply to lift the trophy they are being issued at 1.40.
The draw at the end of 90 minutes sees a dip of 10 cents down to 3.50 which is still in my view the best pick of the 1x2 offerings given that these teams have battled to 1-1 draws in the Bundesliga.
The fact that Bayern have not beaten Dortmund in their last 6 league games really has evaded a lot of people's minds though the drop of 30 cents to 4.50 does show that some are starting to notice the potential. The problem for Dortmund is that they will be missing Mario Gotze due to injury. He has been such an integral part of Dortmund's attack and his replacement, most likely Kevin Grosskreutz, will need to step it up in his place alongside Marco Reus.
But Dortmund have already beaten Bayern without Gotze in last year's wildly entertaining DFB Pokal (German Cup Final).
To lift the trophy regardless of how they do it, Dortmund are paying 3.00, which is going to put a lot of tongues pressed against cheeks leading up to kickoff. The double chance sees a payout of evens (2.00) should the game draw or Dortmund win at the end of 90 minutes.
If the match does a repeat of last year's final and goes to penalties you can take odds of 6.00.
