The first game in La Liga this weekend is between two teams in the bottom half of the table as Getafe hosts relegation threatened Celta Vigo, the league's worst road team.Getafe are currently in 12th spot in the La Liga standings and as hosts will be happy to be playing at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez on Saturday after getting pumped 6-1 last week by Barcelona at the Nou Camp.
The squad is 5-3-3 at home while their opponents have a brutal 1-10-1 record on the road. Getafe have not lost at home in their past six games and though they are expected to win by most pundits today, expect a tight game. The home win here can be taken at William Hill with odds of 2.20.
The same firm has the draw result sitting at 3.30 which I think could be the better value bet of the bunch in the outright markets. For a little more juice the halftime/fulltime draw is at 4.60 while the Getafe/Draw bet leaps up to 15.00.
The reason I say that is Celta Vigo have kept games very close over the last few months. How close? Well in their last 12 leagues, matches have been decided by one goal or have drawn. They almost etched out a point at home last week against Valencia but coughed up a late goal to lose it.
Like that last outright win we also correctly predicted that game would hit the under 2.5 and with 11 of Cetla's same 12 games all cracking under 2.5 it is a safer option to stick with that again here today. That is being offered at 1.65 which is not great value but Celta have been a very tough nut to crack at the back and they are fifth in the league in terms of least goals conceded.
Their issue has been scoring goals and with the second lowest amount scored in the league and worst on the road you can back the both not to score bet at 1.91 as well.
