Serie A is back in gear with a Friday game between hosts Catania and AC Milan. Kickoff is at 2:45pm EST.
After losing Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva to Paris St. Germain during the summer, the Rossoneri faithful were upset and voiced their displeasure with the club. But they certainly could not have anitcipated such a bad start to the Serie A season which currently sees team in ninth place after 14 games.
Still, Milan is favoured going into Catania, with Uwin.com ofering odds of 2.22 for the visitors to pull through. Milan has only one win from six road games (1-2-3) with an even goal difference. But those Milan away games have generated an average of 3.67 goals per game which whets the appetite for an over 2.5 total goals bet which is paying out 1.99.
I do like the Milan win given their tendency to score away from home and their progressive results over the last two weeks have given new hope for the squad, including that 1-0 win over league leaders Juventus. I also like both teams to score in the match which right now is paying 1.73.
The draw result is sitting at 3.20 and with Milan's three draws on the road it could prove a winner though I still prefer the away win result.
Many people are discounting the islanders though their home record would suggest otherwise. Catania have one of the strongest home records in Serie going 5-1-1 while scoring an average of just over two goals per game. They are one point ahead of Milan in the standings and will be keen to take maxmimum points from a club that have normally ruled the roost alongside Inter and Juve.
A Catania win is slated at 3.20 but it would not shock too many people if they do continue their winning ways at home.
