Second place Schalke visits Leverkusen to take on Bayer in what looks to be a dynamite match between clubs separated by only five points in the Bundesliga standings.
They visitors have played five games on the road so far, generating eight points with only one loss, which was their last away match to Hoffenheim.
They defeated Werder Bremen last week by a 2-1 score and have had a knack for scoring. Hubb Stevens' crew has scored at least two goals in all but two matches this year and I expect three or more goals in this contest. While the over 2.5 doesn't offer significant value with a payout of only 1.59, the over 3.5 goes up to 2.43.
Schalke is slightly favoured and as such is being issued currently at 2.52 over at UWin.com.
The draw result - a result I am favouring - is listed at 3.40.
Bayer Leverkusen is coming off a 3-1 loss on the road to Wolfsburg but will be happy to be back at home where it is undefeated so far with three wins and a pair of draws. The home win is paying out 2.64.
Leverkusen has also averaged two goals per game at the BayArena, which is why a high-scoring affair with its North Rhine-Westhalia rival seems likely.
Striker Stephen Kiessling has performed well so far generating seven goals - good enough for third in the Bundesliga - and to score first is paying out 6.00. To score at any point in the match, the odds dip to 2.22. And although it is unlikely he will score a hat-trick, that bet can be had at odds of 34.00.
