After getting destroyed in Montreal by the Impact, D.C. United looks to rebound against the Red Bulls when they kickoff at 8pm EDT from RFK Stadium.
With a road record of 4-7-3 (W-L-T), the New York Red Bulls will look to overtake the top spot in the Eastern Conference with a victory tonight against United. They were able to exit Kansas City with a point on Sunday when they drew 1-1 with current top seed Sporting K.C.
They’re unbeaten in their last three matches with wins against Houston and Portland preceeding the Sporting match.
A New York victory tonight is paying 2.80, and it is paying 1.80 with the +0.0/+0.5 advantage in the Asian Handicap market.
The draw result is listed at 3.30 and appears to offer real value given what’s at stake for both teams.
The home side will certainly need to step it up after getting beaten soundly in Montreal on the weekend, and Ben Olsen will without question demand a big time performance form his squad, particularly from key players Dwayne De Rosario and Chris Pontius.
That weekend loss inched Montreal closer to the fifth and final playoff spot in the East, which United currently holdd, and despite having three games in hand, Olsen and co. cannot afford to drop points in this match.
The good news is that D.C.'s almost unbeatable at home with a record of 9-1-3 so far at RFK this season, including a current 5 game unbeaten run.
A United victory will pay 2.25, while the -0.0/-0.5 in the Asian Handicap is at 2.04.
The Over/Under sees 1.78 should the game produce more than three goals and 2.06 should it result or 2 or less.
