Dos Santos has arrived on the Spanish isle and will don the Els Barralets colors for the first time on Monday evening.
New RCD Mallorca signing Giovani dos Santos was kept from debuting with the La Liga side this weekend due to a preexisting injury, but fans will get their first glimpse of the player on Monday at the Iberostar Stadium.
The 23-year-old will remain in Spain throughout the league layoff the following weekend, as his muscle injury will also keep him out of Mexico's two World Cup qualifiers against Costa Rica.
Beyond that, he is expected to be available for Mallorca's visit to Osasuna on Sept. 16. Dos Santos will have his first chance to wow his home crowd the following week, when he will be matched up with fellow Mexican Andres Guardado when Mallorca faces Valencia.
Mallorca's win over Real Sociedad in the league's third matchday pushed the squad up to seven points, and the islanders currently sit second in La Liga, only behind Barcelona's nine points in three games.
