thumbnail Hello,

Outlets in Brazil are reporting the possibility that current Ajaccio goalkeeper Memo Ochoa could join Atletico Mineiro, Ronaldinho's current club.

Following Memo Ochoa's stellar season at Ajaccio, the Mexican goalkeeper has been singled out as a prime candidate to leave the club, as the French team looks to cash in on Ochoa's growing reputation in Europe.

Ochoa, 27, arrived in France on a free transfer following seven years at Club America. With the two-time World Cup goalkeeper between the sticks, Ajaccio avoided relegation from Ligue 1.

Ajaccio president Alain Orsoni hinted that Ochoa might be sold before the start of the 2012-13 season, with no serious European offers even after the team priced him "at around $4.5 million" according to Orsoni.

However, Brazilian and Mexican media have assured that weeks after signing Ronaldinho, Atletico Mineiro has the goalkeeper in its sights with an offer ready to be delivered to Ajaccio.

RECORD has reported that the Brazilian team has made an offer to the goalkeeper's camp, with his agent firmly denying that the player is thinking of returning to the other side of the Atlantic Ocean.

"It might even not be the best time to leave [Ajaccio,]" said Berlanga to RECORD. "Memo wanted to take this risk. Things have gone well, there are teams viewing him as a potential signing, but the economic situation in Europe as well as Memo's passport situation have been limiting factors."
