thumbnail Hello,

The 22-year-old defender is set to play on the left wing in his first ever appearance in Europe's premier cup competition, and arguably the biggest football game in the world

Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo has given defender Ryan Bertrand a shock call-up for the Champions League final against Bayern Munich.

The 22-year-old looks set to play on the left wing in his first ever Champions League appearance.

Elsewhere for the Blues, Gary Cahill and David Luiz are both fit to play in central defense, and will be flanked by Jose Bosingwa and Ashley Cole.

Michael Essien misses out, as he takes a place on the bench with John Obi Mikel and Frank Lampard sitting deep in midfield, as Juan Mata takes a central attacking role, with Salomon Kalou wide on the right and Dider Drogba up front.

Bayern has an unusual combination in central defense, with Jerome Boateng pairing up with Anatoliy Tymoschuk, as Philipp Lahm and Contento make up the rest of the defence.

Bastian Schweinsteiger and Toni Kroos make up the defensive side of midfield, while the formidable attacking quartet of Franck Ribery, Thomas Muller, Arjen Robben and Mario Gomez are all fit to start.

Bayern Munich starting XI:
Neuer; Contento, Boateng, Tymoschchuk, Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Kroos; Ribery, Müller, Robben, Gomez

Subs: Butt, van Buyten, Rafinha, Usami, Pranjic, Petersen, Olic.

Chelsea starting XI:
