Heynckes vows to use best Bayern XI against Marseille despite suspension risk

Several key players are just one yellow card from being banned, but the trainer will still use his best lineup in Tuesday's Champions League showdown.

Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes has pledged to select his best available starting XI to face Marseille in Tuesday's Champions League quarterfinal clash.

The Bavarians have a 2-0 aggregate advantage heading into the second leg, but the trainer will take no risks, citing a warning sign in the French side's comeback from 2-0 down to earn a 3-2 win away to Borussia Dortmund earlier this season.

"Of course we have a psychological advantage from the result of the first leg, but against Dortmund, Marseille proved what they could do in the Champions League," Heynckes said at a press conference. "My lineup will not be influenced at all. Also, I think we have very intelligent players in our team who know how to behave on the field."

Toni Kroos, Thomas Muller, Luiz Gustavo and Jerome Boateng all face suspension should they receive a yellow card.
