Besiktas had made an audacious bid to sign the former Ballon d'Or winner but the Brazil international has decided to remain in Belo Horizonte
The Brazil international had been heavily linked with a move to Turkish outfit Besiktas but has now decided to commit his future to his current club.
"The fans are annoying but the man loves them," Kalil wrote on Twitter. "He has signed a new contract!"
Besiktas claimed at the end of last month that it was keen to bring the former Ballon d'Or winner to Istanbul but admitted that it would require additional sponsorship in order to meet the attacker's wage demands.
Ronaldinho, who won the World Cup with the Selecao in 2002, played a key role in Atletico's Copa Libertadores triumph last year.
