Real Sociedad 1-1 Barcelona
Barcelona 6-0 Rayo Vallecano

So much for the whisperings of disillusionment. Three goals in a week and Lionel Messi looks back to his brilliant best just in time for Barcelona's Champions League showdown with Manchester City on Tuesday.

Goal's Iago Fernandez said: "Messi silenced critical voices after this two great performances to re-find his best form. The Argentina international scored his side's only goal in the 1-1 Copa del Rey semifinal second-leg draw at Real Sociedad on Wednesday before finding the back of the net twice in the 6-0 romp at home to Rayo Vallecano in La Liga."

Congratulations to Lionel Messi, Goal's 248th World Player of the Week winner!
