Both Spanish sides have revealed plans to expand their current grounds, with at least 400 million euros being splashed in pursuit of the best home on the planet
The Catalans unveiled plans to revamp Camp Nou on Monday, expanding the seating space to over 105,000 before 2021.
The project will cost an estimated 420 million euros, with a roof running all the way around the stadium. Work is expected to start in 2017 and will take three-and-a-half seasons.
Previously, the Blancos had revealed their new Santiago Bernabeu plans before the end of January.
Like Barca's expensive blueprint, Real Madrid's expansion will cost 400 million euros with a retractable roof with club president Florentino Perez hoping to make the ground "the best in the world."
