thumbnail Hello,

The France international has admitted that Wednesday's encounter was not an easy one for Bayern, but stated the Bavarians were always focused on making it to Berlin

Bayern Munich attacker Franck Ribery expressed his satisfaction with his side's qualification for the DFB Pokal final.

The Bavarians beat Borussia Monchengladbach after penalties in Wednesday's semifinal, and Ribery feels that Bayern deserved its progress after a good performance.

"I think we played very well today. We were always focused, because we wanted to make the final in Berlin," Ribery was quoted as saying on the official Bayern website.

"We had three good chances to open the scoring in the first half. It wasn't easy. Naturally, our aim was to win it in the 90 minutes, but Gladbach are a good team."

The Frenchman then went on to voice his happiness for team-mate Manuel Neuer, who played a key role in Bayern's success by keeping out Havard Nordtveit's spot-kick.

"I'm delighted for Manuel Neuer," he added.

Bayern resumes Bundesliga action on Saturday when it takes on Hannover.
