thumbnail Hello,

The Welshman scored another top-class goal while playing in a more free, roving role for Tottenham in its win over West Brom.

Tottenham's Gareth Bale said that he is enjoying playing in a central role for the North London club after the Welshman scored the only goal in his side's 1-0 win over West Brom.

Bale operated more centrally than usual, floating across the midfield, before sealing victory with a stunning late strike from the edge of the area.

Speaking about his position shift, Bale told Sky Sports: "I enjoy it, it's a role that I'm learning season by season. I've come in more often than previous seasons.

"I really enjoy it, it's a new experience for me. It's a chance to improve my game and add another dimension."

Bale also said that Spurs had focused on capitalizing on Saturday's Premier League results, which saw Chelsea suffer a defeat against Newcastle and Everton only manage a draw against struggling Aston Villa. Tottenham is now just a point behind Chelsea for third place in the league table.

"We spoke before the game that results went our way yesterday and it was a big chance to capitalize on that and thankfully we did," Bale said. "The lads worked hard and deserved the victory."

January signing Lewis Holtby was also full of praise for his teammates following his recent arrival, claiming he has been made to feel at home by his fellow players.

The midfielder replaced the injured Jermain Defoe on the 38th minute, and he slotted in just behind American attacker Clint Dempsey.

"The lads are making it easy for me to play. It's a fantastic club with the team and I enjoy coming in every day and especially games like today," Holtby said. "That's [playing behind the striker] a position I like to play most, but it doesn't matter I just want to be on the pitch and play with the lads. Games like today, massive game, to get the three points is such a relief."
