Bayern Munich's president insists the Bavarians will not be splashing cash akin to the transfer fee paid for the Spanish international for the foreseeable future.
The Spain international became the Bavarians' record capture following his summer move, and Hoeness believes the holding midfielder will remain the most expensive player to have joined the Bundesliga power in the coming years.
"The chance that we will make another big-money transfer like the Javi Martinez deal in the next 10 years or so is very slim," Hoeness said to 11Freunde. "I put my complete faith in (manager) Jupp Heynckes and (sporting director) Matthias Sammer for that signing. I deliberately opted not to go and watch the player in action.
"However, people should not all of a sudden think that the transfer madness has now reached Bayern Munich as well."
The 24-year-old Martinez has made three official appearances for Bayern so far.
